St Brutus's Secure Centre For Incurably Criminal Boys

Vernon Dursley made sure everyone knew that Harry Potter attended St Brutus's Secure Centre For Incurably Criminal Boys, because he didn't want anyone to find out about Hogwarts. He was angry when Harry didn't say the name and his reaction and told his sister Marge and in a later book many muggle's believed he did.

But I wonder did it really exist in the muggle world or did Vernon make it up.
But if he did make it up well it said in the first book he didn't approve of imagination.

I believe he did make it up. He probably made an exception on his disapproval of "imagination" in order to keep that secret safe.

He may have based it on a real institution. Those borstal type places had weird Dickensian names.
