i loved sirius in the books, he could have been a bit more gaunt and dirtty looking in the movie. to increase the people who only watch the movies understading, in GOF they should have added the fact that he lived on rats to show how determined he was to stay with his godson. then people would know why it was so tremindus to lose sirius for harry. i f they would have added smaller details like that it would have made the movie sirius a lot better

It was originally supposed to be Mr. Weasley. I'm glad he didn't die! Seriously!

I think Gary Oldman did a stand up job playing Sirius. it was always going to be a difficult role to play. Whilst he didn't look quite how i thought he would be, i think they've done far worse castings than that particular one. Thus in comparison, gary oldman does do a good sirius.

I LOVE Sirius. I cried in the third book and the fifth book! It was so unfair, he had to die before he was claimed innocent! ='(

But in the movies, he....looked old. Even in the fifth movie, he was supposed to shave his face and actually look handsome! >.>

Hm, I think I liked Sirius better in the book than in the movie. He was great in the movies, don't get me wrong. Sirius' one of the best godfathers one could be to anyone. :') His relationship with Harry was beautiful and caring.

Remember in Prisoner Of Azkaban Sirius had just escaped from a mindnumbingly horrible prison which he had been stuck in for a very long time. It stands to reason that he may suffer some mental side effects from it including anger issues.
Never Judge unless you know the full story, lest your judgement should become clouded and you twist new information to fit your preconceived notions.

Re: Sirius

Sirius is my favorite character in the series. And I have to admit, I liked him even more after watching the movies. Yes, he seems a bit mad, but Sirius was supposed to be carefree!
