American version

Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone.
Anyone who had that version did you ever wonder why Hogwarts didn't have a Thanksgiving Feast. Because its an American version.

Philosopher's Stone changed to Sorcerer's Stone.
Sherbet Lemon changed to Lemon Drop.
American English. (Molly can't be knitting dresses for Christmas presents)
Year One (OMG that sounds like infants in primary school. Reception, year one to year six)
I always thought it was first year not Year One.
Shame nothing about Hogwarts having a Thanksgiving feast, in the American book.

Re: American version

Well they changed things that were already in the book to Americanized references, but they didn't add new scenes for the different editions. There was no November timed feast that could have been considered a Thanksgivving feast instead for American reference. And as they are from the United Kingdom, they wouldn't celebrate Thanksgiving. The American version is not depicting wizards in America. I'm sure at Ilvermoney they celebrate Thanksgiving.

Free Healthcare, hockey, No Trump, the CFL, beautiful landscape, no ignorant bible belt, we don't have the same ridiculous weather that the states does, if you win money you don't have to pay tax on it in Canada...

And yes. Don Cherry's latest suit jacket.
