Which Series Should I Read?

My birthday recently passed and I decided to treat myself to a couple of books. A couple of books turned into pretty much every Rick Riordan series and A Song of Ice and Fire. Because of this, I have about seven series waiting to be read after I finish Harry Potter and I'm not sure which to start with. I understand that if I start with Riordan its best to start with Percy Jackson as a kind of introduction to Riordan's world. So it's pretty much between Percy Jackson and the Olympians or A Song of Ice and Fire. Which do you guys think would be a better read right after finishing the Harry Potter series?

I'd wait to read ASOIAF until the next book is published or at least the date is set.

Why the show is doing a better job of the later books then GRRMs writing is lol.

I d like that idea because I like reading a series through from the first book to the last. That's what I've done with Harry Potter. I've been reading from the Philosopher's Stone and am now on the Order of the Phoenix, and haven't read any books other than Harry Potter in between.

I haven't watched any episodes of the show. For some reason I think it's more enticing to read the books than to watch the show. I think it would thoroughly ruin the books if I started watching the show.

Re: Which Series Should I Read?

I watched the first season before I read the first book. It didnt affect it all. The stuff from Dance is changed a lot...like theres no Quentyn Martell story.

Honestly, the new seasons are so much better than the books.

If you want a suggestion of a series. I would definitely try the Narnia series. I know it is a lot outdated but it is a very good series and very quick to read.

Narnia was great when I was child. But now, it's just fine.

If you're not limiting yourself with fantasy books; The Grail Quest by Bernard Cronwell

I've actually decided to go back and read some individual books instead of another series. The book I'm currently re-reading is my favourite book of all time - The Outsiders.
