well when you compare it with the fifth one it is much more better than ootp. That director David Yates sucks like hell and left a hell lot of stuff than the director in Goblet of Fire. I mean seriously if David Yates directed the 4th film he would have probably left out
let see
-Quiditch World Cup scene
-Penesive scene
-Harry and Myrlte scene
-Rita Skeeter Stoyline
and Yule Ball

I liked it, though Harry meeting Sirius in that cave or something was missing. "Poor Snuffles, he must really like you. To live off rats."

Hate is a bit of a strong word isin't it?
I rather say that the movie disappointed me, I expected more, however, I think that the ootp is excellent.
Nothing can separe me from HARRY POTTER.

Yes, it may be over but that magic world lies in our hearts and minds.

HEAR HEAR

I was absolutely disappointed with this movie. It was boring to be honest. :( I felt that it was Emma's worst performance and I hated Dan's, Rupert's and the Phelp's brother hairstyles. They looked like Shaggy from Scooby Dooby Doo. :(

What?! This was the only one when Dan didn't look like a total geek. I liked the movie, all the actors were good, although they could've made the movie like 5 minutes longer so they could include more of the Quidditch world cup. It was also lacking in Ludo Bagman. And of course Archie with his 'breeze around his privates' or whatever it is, they missed out the best part in my opinion. The only other thing that annoyed me was that Emma Watson moves her eyebrows up and down WAY too much - I was like calm down girl!!!
Overall I liked it though - the Voldemort scene was brilliant, Ralph Fiennes did an amazing job. The plot would actually make sense to someone who hadn't read the book unlike OotP. Stunning special effects (apart from Sirius in the fire - wtf was that?!) It was also one of the funniest films methinks. This and PoA are prob my favourite HP movies.

Re: Am I the only one that hated this movie?

I hate how people say Dan and Emma can't act whatever. Bashing Emma saying she has mad eyebrows.

The maze didn't have the beasts but it was dark and spooky quite good on screen.

Maybe the second Dumbledore didn't want to be a copy. (for example his beard)

Well Dan and Emma were quite terrible throughout the series. Dan cannot for his life do emotional scenes and Emma was over acting a lot in this film.

For me, this was the worst movie. I love the book but too much of the original story was cut from the film and I found it a bit boring.

Re: Am I the only one that hated this movie?

Definitely all over the place.

I remember I saw it with my father who told me that "he had no idea what was going on" and "that woman is running out of ideas"..

I think there was so much stuff that happened in the book that Mike Newell had trouble fitting it all in.

I know a lot of people don't like David Yates, but he did do a good job of condesning, and effectively communicating certain ideas/events from the book, even if he had to do a slightly different version for the screen.

Loved Emma watson's pink dress though..
