8 out of 10. I know a lot of the movies have valuable information in them, but I feel like some are fillers in a way to the main storyline. I never read the book so I wouldn't know..

Thanks for saying you wouldn't know, because it's definitely true. We're not talking about filler, we're talking about the actual plot being completely removed. Harry doing the tasks is not the plot, it's incidental to the plot.

Everything they cut out is important because it comes up later or is an answer to a question from a previous book. Or, if it doesn't strictly speaking advance the plot, it's still valuable, because we care about the characters and never find it boring to read about them. In a book we have time to have characters who are actual characters, instead of only being there as props used to get from point A to point B like in the movies. If this content was filler, it wouldn't be good. Since it's so entertaining to read, so skillfully done, it can't possibly be called filler.

Lastly, no matter what avoids being cut out, the story overall is always a different one completely from the book, because they cut out so much information about the world Harry lives in. Without the same rules, boundaries and possibilities made clear in the books, movie fans are not actually seeing Harry Potter. They're seeing another story, which also happens to be called Harry Potter. The two have little significant in common when the context of the movies' events is so different from in the books.

3/10

Worst of the lot, in my opinion. Because of those Dumbledore scenes and I thought Harry's hair was.....

McGonagall's scenes redeemed it a bit but overall still not very good.

The worst of the lot was HBP. Everything lacked.

GoF only was a BIT better, but still really sucked.

I'd give it a 4. It's not as bad as OOTP, but still not as good as the first three movies.

I think it's the poorest film by quite some distance.
