After watching it again

I watched this film again last week but I've only just remembered to post it.

In the beginning, when the owls are delivering Harry his Hogwarts letter...how does an owl get the letter through the letter box?!

It's just very unrealistic in my opinion, I mean, the owl doesn't have hands or thumbs, how did it manage it?

Lol sorry I overthink things.

I thought it was just a slot. Was it a box?

I always wondered how the owls knew how to find people when the sender of the post didn't know where the person was. Like when Sirius was in hiding.

I want a magical owl so I can write to people where I don't know where they are now. LOL

I was thinking that too, but I guess that if Owls can manage that, they can find a way to get a letter through a mail slot as well. Especially the Hogwarts Owls, who are used to deliver letters to Muggleborns.

(If I were a Wizard, I'd become a PI... give me an Owl and a House-elf and I could find you anyone in no time)

Sorry, box/slot, same thing to me.

I know but are they magical owls or just normal owls? They look normal but I suppose they must be magical to be able to find people without the sender of the letter knowing where they are...

I always imagined it was impeccable aim and a bit of physics.
Owls are able to swoop down, release letters, which fall into mail slots opening the flap...or any opening I guess after Harry didn't receive his letters.

It's magic!

Or they had great aim and strength and whipped it with their beak and managed to shove it through the mail slots.

It must be this! Because think about the box/slot, just a letter wouldn't be able to push it through! The chimney, fair enough, they can just drop it down, but there's obviously something magical behind it to get it through the slot. They're only owls, after all!

Probably went to Diagon Alley and used a the post office, or she just used Pigwidgeon, depends on the time in the story....

Re: After watching it again

Maybe the letter is magical? And it slips itself through into the box?

Re: After watching it again

The owl delivering the letter snags two extra owls on the way to the delivery, and the other two hold open the flap while the original send the letter through- all in flight.
