I don't want to sound mean but it's Philosopher's Stone, there are no scary parts.

^ lol.

Yeah, I agree. Even when I first saw this as a kid, I didn't find it scary at all. There isn't much to be afraid of in HP, though, especially if you've already read the books.

Seeing Fluffy for the first time made me jump but I wouldn't say any of it was particularly scary. Though my younger self may beg to differ...

When I was younger I was terrified by this film. Scariest parts were when Harry opens the book about Nicolas Flamel in the restricted section and the face jumps out at him, Voldemort at the end and most of all, when Harry comes across Voldemort feasting on the unicorn in the forest.

When I was younger, I would have nightmares about Voldemort being on the back of Quirrel's head.

When I went to see Harry Potter and Philosopher's Stone at the Cinema I was only ten. So I guess from my childhood memories it was when Voldemort was revealed on the back of Quirrels head ._.

I also found the face howling out from the restricted section book quite scary. It was very intense and very funny when everyone in the cinema jumped in shock and then realising everyone had done the same thing started to laugh.

It happened again in CoS when Harry put his hand around the Hand of Glory. I think I suffered a mild heart attack at that moment :D

Nothing scared me in Philosophers Stone, but to this day I still can't watch Harry and Ron meeting Aragog in CoS. The first time I seen that I must have been about 9 and I had nightmares for a week.

I actually have never seen that scene because of my phobia of spiders. I remember I had to turn my face away in the cinema for that whole segment. Whenever I watch it on DVD I turn the brightness on the TV way down.

Spiders are the thing I am most scared of, whenever that part comes up I turn away and mute the TV lol

I won't even watch CoS purely because of that scene. Lol. My fear of spiders is that strong. I'm trying to build up the courage to watch it though as I really want to watch them all again.

I really wasn't scared at any of the parts.

Fluffy trying to get out the door as Ron, Hermione and Harry tried to close the door was a bit unnerving though.

I think I jumped when that face jumped out of the book screaming when Harry visited the restricted section of the library was pretty thrilling but just at first. I wasn't sacred though.

Wasn't even scared when Hagrid kicked in the door of the hut on the rock.

I could see where little kids might be scared at these parts.

‘The Giant Chess Game’ was the scariest part for me, it’s really an amazing scene and made me terrified.

The confrontation between Harry and Professor Quirrell, where Voldemort is revealed to be sharing a body with Quirrell, was both creepy and frightening when I first saw it. A grotesque, nose-less face on the back of someone's head is not something you see every day.
