But, wait... not all Slytherins went bad... Slughorn certainly wasn't bad. And Regulus wasn't bad, just mislead...

no what hagrid said was that there wasnt a wizard who went bad who wasnt in slytherin.

so its: all bad witches and wizards are slytherins, but not all slytherins are bad

of course it isnt necessarily true. he just said "all" when he meant "most".

although that brings us to another question. how could hagrid not know about sirius when it was all over the papers the night he was caught. its one thing to know that sirius black is supposedly the best of voldemort's servants. its another thing to know that sirius black was the friend of lily and james, which, being a member of the Order, he ought to know.

I am so sick right now, I am not going to get my book to look up quotes... but from what I remember...

Hagrid knew that Sirius turned, but not to the extent... like, he knew that Sirius allegedly killed the muggles, but didn't know that he was the one who turned the Potters in.. or maybe he did. I dunno... omg, I'm so sick right nwo, lol. I remember Hagrid was crying because he had trusted Sirius, Sirius showed up and lent his motorcycle to Hagrid. But I think that ythe fact that Sirius was the the secret keeper came as a surprise. If you can hold out until tomorrow I can go through the books for you.

Or it was the first book and she wrote some stuff later that didn't fit with the first stuff. A lot of siries books have done it in their first book.
