I think it would be a good idea to start using a Ranking system here at the forums.
It would make things more interesting and cause people to spend more time at
the forums.
Ive already made some ranks up just as examples.
Muggle: 0 Posts (for new members)
Squib: 30 Posts
Boggart: 100 Posts
Fairy: 175 Posts
Imp: 255 Posts
These are just examples. If the Admin does decide to use a Rank System, well need around 40-60(could be less) regular ranks (all related to Harry Potter).
Around 3 Special Ranks
Dumbeldore's Army
Ministry of Magic
Deatheaters
If the Administrator does decide to use a Rank system please pm me , so we could discuss this further. I would be happy to make a dedicated Rank thread, explaining each in Rank in detail and how to obtain it. Also I wouldnt mind creating all the ranks.
What do you guys think about this idea? Is it Good or Bad?

Excellent idea. This idea, as well as a few other larger ideas (houses, etc.) have been discussed by the Potter Forums staff. I think this is something, especially because of the response, that we will implement right away. Look for a ranking system to come out soon!
After this maybe they should be ranked as in school years
1st year (100) posts and so on. We can include prefects too...
After finishing the school years they can be assigned wizarding professions(maybe according to the houses they get sorted into)Slytherin=Deatheathers, or DADA professors etc..... _________________

Wow, that is an impressive list. This project was initially put on hold for a while because we did not have enough time compile a list and create the rankings. We are definately open to community contributions to it.
Please continue the discussion here and we will work to implement a system that reflects what the community wants. Thanks for all of your help!

5. 250 Worthy of D.A. (you should make a room of requirement and make it password protected and only let people who are worthy in there. it was on anothe site and it is cool)

10. 700 Teacher or Head of House
