Author's Note: This takes place during the Battle of Hogwarts in DH. I may have minorly messed up on the series of events, and I apologize in advance.

Harry watched Ginny, Tonks, and Neville's grandmother leave, yet he couldn't bear stay. He ran to catch up with them, his hand clutching is wand so tightly his knuckles were white. Something told him something was wrong. He could see Ginny now, his heart skipped a beat. He was about to cry out had not an explosion blasted him into the air and againest the wall. He blacked out when his head collided with a suit of armor. He saw a slate of stars, and unfamiliar voices and screaming.
"Crucio!Crucio!! CRUCIO!!!"
Ginny's agonized shrieks brought him to reality. The Death Eater looked surprised Harry was alive, even more so when Harry rallied his magic and sent him flying. He ran over to Ginny.

Her skin was a ghostly pale, like she was a ghost already. Her breathing was rapid and shallow.
"Ginny, no..." Harry grasped her hands, searching furitively for help. Yet no one was there, save a unconcious Death Eater.

"Harry," Ginny's voice turned Harry's head to her. She looked worse now, her robes burnt and smoking where the Torturing Curse's hit. One large burn caught his eye. Dead in the heart.
"Please Harry, don't worry about me."
"Don't worry about you? Please! Can you stand? I'll get help!"
He felt as helpless as ever, the love of his life dying before him.
"No," Ginny's voice quieted him. She was struggling to breath, yet her beautiful eyes remained focused on Harry. She did her best to ignore the clawing temptation to let go and sleep.
"Ginny, please. I shouldn't have let this happen. Forgive me."

Ginny gave a faint smile and closed her eyes.
"Of course I will. Now I'm asking you to forgive me. We should have spent eternity together."

She mustered strength to lightly touch Harry's cheek. Then she drew a shuddering breath, the last she would take. Her hand fell. Ginny Weasley, friend of many, the woman who should have spent eternity with Harry, was dead. Her eyes were shut, a faint smile on her lips.

Harry said quietly, tears streaming from his face.

"I forgive you."

(Thank you everyone for reading. This is my first sort of sad fanfic. If it's good, I"ll write more!)

No, seriously, you got across what you were intending. That was sad, yet so beautiful.

I'm impressed.

That's some skilled writeing.

For once it was nice to see Harry and Ginny together.

PS, you stole my ending, great now i've gotta think of another one so it doesn't look like i'm copying you Razz

To tell the truth, I wrote this at 10:30 PM my time, it took about 20 minutes. Just came to my head.

its pretty good actually, i had never actually thought of killing of gnny before...you sure are cruel and heartless...i wouldnt be surprised if mr. potter hung himself due to you hahaha jk well written

Okay I was just going through all the threads and posting stuff to see if I can indulge in a good convo and I came across this page, and my eyes seriously almost burned in tears...quick writing but interesting theory...its just that we know the characters so well, that something so short like this could be soo sad to us HP fans...expand on that idea, write anothe fanfic, do something, its skills, good going.
