It has become really hard for JK Rowling to keep a lot of secret details hidden. I bet she was probably surprised on how fast Potter fans figured the identity of R.A.B. and is just as glad that many are still doubting themselves.

However, it does look like the theories are finally all coming to a single conclusion, with all still pointing at Regulus Black. The amazing people over at the hp-lexicon have inserted Regulus Arcturus Black into the Black family tree and mentioned a few little details on why they think that this character is the obvious candidate

If you read Deathly Hallows you'll see that R.A.B. is really Regulus Arcturus Black- brother of Sirius.

I was just reading the book. When it came across that part, I was just lik I KNEW IT! Plus, I had heard rumors over the internet that the real Horcrux locket was the one that no one could seem to open in book 5. They were right about that one, too (as was I)!
