what ever happend to fawkes. one minute hes singing his song and the next hes gone. its not like he died or did he

Even though it dosen't say it in the book it was common sense to the readers. Nothing can live forever, i myself believe that Fawks died with Dumbledore.

But in a way, i still think he is with Harry (His Wand.)

I think Fawkes resides in Harry's wand now and will come to aid him when he goes and fights You-Know-Who!

Fawkes gave too feders. One is in Harry's wand and the another is in Voldemort's wand. Fawkes will pobably be loyal to Harry then. I think so.

Yeah, and remember in Chamber of Secrets, Dumbledore was explaining to Harry about Fawkes, and he was like

"and they make the most faithful pets"...something along those lines.

So yeah, maybe that's what it meant if Dumbledore dies, Fawkes dies...

heh that makes me think of...oh whats it called...sutti? when women throw themselves on their husbands funeral pyres.

but I don't think fawkes is dead. aww poor fawkes...he's probably had a ton of masters, and they'll all die, but he never will. that has to suck.

I don't remember what happened after Fawkes swallowed the killing curse in HBP. Was he still alive after that?

If you go to wikipedia it says that JKR said fawkes will play a part in book 7 with allot of other quotes and questions. Was a good read and made you review allot. Am looking forward till midhight. only 11 12/2 hours to go.

why would Fawkes go to Harry's aid in CoS and not remain to help perhaps the one person who always has been "Dumbledore's man, through and through"?

also, Harry thought he saw a Phoenix rise from the smoke during Dumbledore's funeral.

lines like that that mean very little at the time could mean a whole lot later, as we have seen many times over.

if this were true there never would have been phoenixes in the first place and if there were, they all would die out.

Most likely return to the wild or choose another owner as they are smarter than the average bird.
