Cyan font! Woo! Ok, so James saved Snape's life. Duh. I forget what it was exactly. I think Snape followed Lupin back when they were in school and Lupin had to go to the Shrieking Shack cause of his werewolf abilities. So James saved Snape from the whomping willow that was gurading the entrance to the shrieking shack???? Confused is that right? I think so.. you should read the third book and find out, little missy. lol. Arrow

if in remember correctly, snape meddled too much why lupin disappeared so many times. as so, sirius though it was fun (the man is insane) to tell snape how to get inside the whomping willow. and snape went lol. james knowing what sirius done, went after snape to save him and did so.

Ok, if I remember correctly, James, Sirius, and Wormtail were going to play a prank on Snape, by sending him to the Shreiking Shack when Lupin was going to become a werewolf, in hopes that Lupin would attack Snape. James however, decided that it would be too awful of them, because Lupin would probably kill Snape, so he distracted Snape from going down the secret passageway that led to the Shack.

James and his buddies put snape;s life in danger to begin with..... so to tell a blind person that its ok to cross the street when a bus is coming, then push him outta the way before the bus hits him...is that really saving his life??

Well said! There really isn't much I can add to this because I basically quoted what I would have said.

As far as I know James saved Snape before Lupin transformed into a werewolf.

No not really. James Potter was a bit arrogant and enjoyed making Snape miserable, but he was just having fun, he's not a killer.

You make a good point, however it still proves that James has a conscience.

It was a joke they were going to play on Snape, which probobly would have gotten him killed (or turned into a wearwolf) and would have gotten James, Sirius, Lupin, and Wormtail kicked out of school.

So James was just saving his own neck, there wasn't anythign highly moral or just about it. He didn't like Snape any more, he just didn't wanan get kicked out and not get to see Lily anymore.

Snape doesn't make it to the Shack, he's in the tunnel and he sees Lupin changing. That's all. James pulls him out before he gets to the Shack.
