With all the important things that happen in this book, you think they could possibly push it to 3 hours+?

What I would like to see happen is make the last one about 5 or 6 hours long and split it. Release The Deathly Hallows Pt.1 in April and release Pt2 in October. That would be the best possible scenario. Money should be no issue for the studio as they know it will make money and it would give the fans a better closure for the series. Also a bonus for the fans as they kinda get an extra movie.

Also I agree on 3+ hours if they wouldn't do my suggestion because Lord Of the rings proved people have no problem with longer movies.

I don't think that they should split it into two parts, but it should def. be a longer movie. I couldn't stand how much they cut out of OotP, but I don't think they can cut that much out of DH.

they deffinatly dont need to show all the places they go in the woods. but they might cut them out from going to number 12 grimauld place and the radio show with lee kingsley lupin and fred

I think they should have made extended editions like with the Lord of the Rings movies, but its a bit late for some of the earlier movies, if they chose to do that with Harry Potter.

As much as I like the movies and as much as I like the books I wished they never would have made the movies. The first two were great, they brought so much of the book into them, leaving out what was not completely necessary but not most of the book. From three up they have left out WAY too much and it is sad, pathetic almost. I already know the HBP and DH movies will be dissapointing so I am not going to worry about whether they make it long enough, they wont.

2 h and 30 minuted probably. Every movie had the same lenght. Wich I don't agree. Because of such short length may things are cut out.

It should be like Titanic and Pearl Harbour.
Make it really long and just on 2 VHS's or DVDs'.
Beucase there probably going to mutalate this book with the movie just like they did the fifth one.

i think they should do a 4 (or more) hour movie.......
(in my town like 2 years ago they had this thing where it was spiderman 2 and something else) and they showed one movie then took a 15 min. break and showed the 2nd movie........

they should do that for #7
split it in half

Thing is, the reason that the first and second came out so well, is because those two books were much shorter than the ones after it. If you notice, with each movie they release, the amount they cut out is more and more, because each book is bigger and bigger. DH is going to be a worthless movie, because they know people will go and see it whether they cut everything out or not.

Yea but I thought the third and forth were pretty good and failry close too.
The 5th movie was really bad, if you didnt read the 5th book there is NO WAY you would grasp the concept of the 5th book..
The 6th book is the best and I will be pissed if they cut alot outta that one!
And the 7th got so much going on that its ganna be a remake on the 5th one and it will probably kill the book .

by the time that the deathly hallows comes out harrys gonna be like 27 so he could play the 19 years later

this movie is really gonna suck. Their not gonna make the movie longer and their gonna cut out alot of stuff so they can have their big finale with the battle for Hogwarts. but i will be satisfied if all they show is from chapters 29-36 and they epilouge.

I think it was David Yates who probably pushed for OOTP to be shorter and if he is at the helm of HBP, expect the same thing... Who knows about DH's but I imagine he'll want to do the last one as well.

And Dan will be 21 when DH's is released and 19-20 when he is filming it. It will be out in 3 years from this summer, he just turned 18.

Yes, David Yates is the culprit behind the length of OotP. he had said in an interview he wanted to it to be shorter.

Dan Radcliffe will still be young enough to play Harry at 17... and with enough make-up he can play himat 30, too. It worked in Brokeback Mountain and dozens of other movies where actors play characters of different ages. Either that or thy'll leave the epilogue out al together. Because they can't have the last scene in the movie not have Dan, Emma, and Rupert in it,

i think they should make it as long as it is to include evrything.

as most of what happens is so key to the plot warner bros. shouldn't cut any of the book Very Happy
