I don't know if some one has already posted this before, But on page 485 it says...
Spoiler:

"Had a house-elf taste every bottle after what happened to your poor friend Rupert." Rupert is the actor of Ron which every one knows.

it was Slughorn making a mistake. He never took much notice of Ron, so he didn't remember his name.

I looked in my book, but it wasn't there... what version were you reading? I don't think I have the same page numberings as you. What chapter?

Its the chapter when there burying aragog becuase he died. In the American Hard-cover its on 485 or whatever I said.

I have the UK version. For anyone who has that version, it's page 454.

I do agree with the people that Slughorn didn't remember Ron's name exactly.

It's exactly what happened. Slughorn called Ron other names as well. He basically called him everything but Ron.

Rupert was just a coincidince IMO.
