So, Harry survives. I thought it was a little stupid how all Voldemort did was Avada and Harry did expelliarmus and it was over. I expected a huge battle where Harry nearly survives but conquers evil, and people help him in some way.
I was so glad Mrs. Wasley killed Bellatrix. When she called her a bitch I was like OH YEAH!
It is so sad Fred died, the Weasley's have lost so much.
I didn't like Molly portrayed like that. Not that I don't think that she would be as fiery as Ginny (I think they're rather alike) but because it made her very OOC. Besides, her killing Bellatrix wasn't what I expected, maybe Neville or Lupin.. I don't think that the Weasleys suffered that much. They lost one in nine people. I though it was very lucky of them. Harry survivint threw me off, I wasn't expecting, but it was very nicely done I think, one of the only things I really enjoyed in the whole book.

Well Neville got to kill Nagini which was good enough for me. Neville was really brave in this book, and it made me so happy. Yes, the epilogue was a piece of shit, it was way to happy.
I'm new here, but had to sign up. Need to talk about it!!!!!!
Spoiler:
I think most of the plot regarding snape and dumbledore's plan, started to unravel before we officially found it out. I don't know if anybody else picked it up.
I half expected the deaths of both Remus and Tonks, Fred was unexpected, and was perhaps one of the most saddening parts of the book. It also disappointed me that nothing was mentioned, apart from in passing, of the rest of the weasleys in the '19 years on'. Particularly George's endeavours with the business.
I didn't think JK would have it in her to kill off any of the 3, and I'm glad she didn't. I don't think ends were left either too loose or too tied, I'm now content that Neville, Luna, Ginny, Ron, Hermione, Harry, Remus, Tonks, and all of the order and DA, deserve their own chocolate frog cards.
It was so sad how Remus and Tonks died. That was so surprising...I almost cried. Their baby didn't know either of its parents nor it's grandfather.
Spoiler:
I saw that coming as soon as Harry got in his fight with Lupin. He said something about how parents shouldn't leave their children, which obviously comes from his background, and I figured the kid would get to grow up the same way Harry did. Plus, Lupin was dead from the moment we met him.
the part in the battle that got me most excited was when harry called him tom. i think at that point voldemort realised he had lost as from there on it just went downhill and he started babbling

Spoiler:
The battle was anti-climactic because there was no way that Riddle could have won. The wand was Harry's he had the 3 hallows. The wand acted on Harry's accord, not on Riddle's. It was supposed to end that way. Riddle's ignorance killed him. Also "Avada Kedavra" is unforgivable, there is no way Harry could have done it successfully.
As mentioned earlier, I thought that when Harry started calling Voldemort Tom Riddle was amazing. It was like when Dumbledore and Voldemort battle in OOTP, and Dumbledore calls Voldemort Tom. Harry is Dumbledore's man through and through! Yeah!

Harry didn't have the three Hallows. He only had possession of the Invisivility Cloak. He left the ring in the forest and Voldemort was dueling him with the Elder Wand.
this is weird, but I had this idea about harry shooting voldemort with a gun after he'd destroyed all the horcruxes, because it'd be an awesome example of contradicting voldemort's idea that muggles and muggle stuff are useless.
Let me just say: BAH. HUMBUG. I was okay with the battle itself, but I really thought there should have been more about the battle after that. You know, like somebody saying, "Hey, Harry, nice work with Expelliarmus and all, especially since we told you that using it was dumb." Or some more detail about people's reactions. You know, actual dialogue about events in the book? I kind of missed that.
I don't care that the battle was not so big on the action. The dialogue was FANTASTIC. Now that was a real battle.
Molly Weasley and Bellatrix? Brilliant! Molly Weasley is that fiery. Loved it. Neville's too kind to kill Bellatrix besides.
Epilogue? Fantastic. Why the hell not? They don't deserve misery. Not really sappy... just, "here's life now."
Spoiler:
I agree with the battle. I would've loved to see Voldemort's face when that was happening (already waiting for the movie).
I think Neville would've gone through with killing Bellatrix or at least his gradma would've done something. But Molly Weasley saying bitch was great. (sorry if crude language offends anyone)
Yes, they don't deserve misery but it left something to be desired. I wished there was a bit more to it than that.
the book was written for like 11-13 year olds, but when i was standing in line to get the book, most people were like over 20, so go figure.
the beginning and middle were good, but it should have been condensed, such as when Ron left them in the forest they should have left right then to a different location, because if Ron was captured(which he was) he could have given away there location. and then you could save like 50 pages of Harry and Hermione basically roaming aimlessly from place to place.
krencher was a nice touch to the story.
how can harry know like only 6 spells??(impenementa, stun, crucio, lomus, disarm, imperio, potronus) and Hermione can do like 30???????? i think this could be link to failing in the 5th and 6th books to have harry learn more spells, such as when the DA meets were taking place he had access to a ton of spells books.... HELLO MAKE HIM LEARN SOMETHING COOL
and the battles sucked, no mention of gore, blood, just one word like Fred died, i mean come on we got 2 vast armies of all possible creaters, it should have been something cool, and harry only using one spell in the fights?? and crabe(or goyle) using a cool fire spell, dud Crabe is sopposed to be stupid, how can he do something the rest can't.
and the 19 years later thing was cool, but we wanted to here what harry and ron and everyone else were doing with there lives, not there kids going off to school.
the book was a decent end to the series, and there were some good parts(i mentioned only one, happy endings are good, and stuff metioned above by others)
and last of all, thank god it is ended =)
(sorry for any typos)
