So before the 7th book came out me and a friend made a few bets on what would happen. To declare a true winner, it all comes down to a single bet, that both of us feel we won. Our bet was fairly vague, but this was basically it.
Will Harry and Ginny get together in the 7th book. (We also stated that something as simple as getting a kiss does not constitute this).
So then basically there are 2 questions that need answered -
a) Were Harry and Ginny in any sort of real relationship during the actual story of the book?
- and then -
b) Does the Epilog count (since they were obviously together in it)? It could be argued that yes it was in the pages of the book so it counts or no an epilog is just to state what happens to the characters after the story is over and so is not part of the story and is not in the spirit of the bet.
Did you all read the post at all. No shit they were together in the 6th, the fact that he was pushing her away is the whole thing we were betting on. It was whether he actually was going to stop pushing her away. And did you not read that kissing didnt count. Yes they made out, but did he form a real relationship afterwards, no he kept pushing her away.
Yeah I agree, I can't see why it wouldn't.
As for you other people stop insulting rsmith, it's a perfectly legitmate question.
I would say yes they did end up together in a relationship because I would include the epliogue in this bet. _________________

if they wernt in a relationship throughout the entire 7th book (pre to the epi) it would have been very sad if ginny had died at the end, that would have made me very very sad, the way she was always on harrys mind, and whenever something very important was going to happen, she flashed through his mind (note: walking to his death
Spoiler:
that diddnt end up killing him
im glad that it ended the way it did _________________
Also Harry's and Ron are the only ones that seem to think that Harry and Ginny arn't together.
Ginny and Hermione seem to plot ways to make Harry and Ginny together, while Ron blindly screws them up _________________ The boy who lived marries the wrong girl.

Harry, and Hermione...shoulda been!
I quite agree, with Three Kids...its kinda obvious.
But then again stranger things have happened.
The question should be, when did they get married? Right after hogwarts (like James and Lily) or later on?[/quote] _________________ The boy who lived marries the wrong girl.

Im thinking they did.
Beucase we all know they both acctualy love eachother and now that the war is over.
Ginny will go smack some sence inta him and they got together _________________ Harry and Ginny 4 ever!

uhh, he broke up with her by the end of the 6th book, you can't brake up with someone if you're not with that person, I think that's obvious enough _________________ The 2 peole in this picture are Harry and Ginny
Well, they were together for the whole book preety much, I mean the only reason you could say they weren't is because Harry wanted to break up to protect her. And even if they weren't the epilouge would count, it was a very important part of the book.
If JK wrote it, it's part of the book (yes I understand though that alot of people don't believe that the epiloge should be part of the book, but in this case it's kinda important) _________________ The boy who lived marries the wrong girl.

Or they are an extream Harry/Hermione pusher that refuses to believe the epilogue. _________________ The boy who lived marries the wrong girl.

well you could also say that they never really broke up. im sure that if harry slept with some girl ginny would have considerd that cheating (and vice versa). in realaty they were still together (i think they both knew that in their minds) they just stoped leting people know.
