which actors/ actresses do you think are so good that when you read the books, you imagine them as the real characters? who are those really good in acting as well?

mine is:
- the best is helena bonham carter. she is indeed bellatrix. she looks so deranged, and i love that evil cackle of hers. the best line was when she said to harry "you dare speak his name, you filthy half blood!" oh man. she was terrific.
- close to that is maggie smith. she IS mcgonagall. she isnt just acting like mcgonagall.
- oh ill say richard harris was a good dumbledore. i loved it when in the SS movie, when everyone was panicking coz a troll entered, he said "SILENCE!!!!" it showed authority, but not anger or agressiveness.

- im not particularly fond of the acting of imelda staunton, but she did her job as dolores well.
- well i suppose miranda richardson was also a good rita... i imagine her when i read the books.

- for the kid actors, id like to shake the hands of tom felton, rupert grint, and evanna lynch. fabulous young actors/actress.

I think that Alan Rickman is the perfect Snape. Nobody, and I mean nobody, can play Snape better. I also agree that Helena Bonham Carter is great as Bellatrix. She's amazing!

oh yeah, alan rickman is a good snape. i especially liked him in ootp... when he was being interrogated by umbridge... he looked so stiff... like when he said "obviously" when umbridge said that he had been rejected for dada post. and also when harry said "he's got padfoot," and dolores asked what is padfoot, and snape said, "no idea.." heee heee... sooo cute... snapey...

but alan rickman is good looking... hmmm... he manages to look unsexy as sevvy... but many people find snape cute anyway.

Helena Bonham Carter is amazing.

Christian Coulson is great as Tom Riddle,

David Bradley is good as Filch. Not a likeable charecter, but Bradley makes him interesting.

well he does look like filch.
and i agree... christian coulson is a good tom riddle.

im terribly disappointed though with mad eye moody... he looks nothing like i imagined him to. i wanted a gaunt face, a crooked nose, thin, lopsided lips, darker skin and more heavily scarred.

I think that all the actors do a geat job at portraying the characters. The actors that stand out in my mind at the moment are Alan Rickman and Dame Maggie Smith as Snape and McGonagall, respectively. But above all of them, Helena Bonham Carter just blew me away. She was exactly who I pictured as Bellatrix before she was cast in the part.

I think Dudley (Harry Melling) was good in the first 3 films, but in teh fifth one, he just fell apart. And I don't blame him. Because I know he is capable of it, I saw him do just fine in the first 3 films. So, I blame Yates. I mean, at some point the director could have said something to him about the suckage. So my theory is that the actor was only following the director's directions.

- i mean, that was very wrong of you boys, very wrong indeed.

Oh Mark Williams was fantastically funny in CoS. He was comical, but in a realistic way. he was just incredible. I wouldn't have pictured him for the part, but I thought he did a great job with it.

I think they all did well in OotP.

Among the kid actors, I think Evanna Lynch made a perfect Luna.

hermione's acting was better in the first two books.
snape was good to begin with, but became better in movies 4 and 5.
mcgonagall was constantly good through and through.

I think Alan Rickman improved, as well. His performance in OotP was amazing. And yeah, Dame Maggie is always incredible.

I will agree with you on that. Nobody else could play Snape as well as Alan Rickman. Every time I read the books I picture Alan Rickman when I read anything about Snape.

I think Emma Thompson earns a few pats on the back for her portrayal of Sybil. Very Happy

The actor who plays Lucius does an excellent job as well. Cool

I have to say Evanna Lynch is an amazing Luna. In fact, she pretty much IS Luna. Definitely did the character justice. The same goes for Bellatrix and Tonks Very Happy

I think all of the actor's who were chosen for the part's fit! I couldn't imagine someone else playing Harry or the Weasley twins or any other character for that matter.

Evanna Lynch is like Luna even off screen so thats a perfect match!

The only person I didn't think portrayed their character well was Professor Trelawny because she's nothing like I thought she would be.

Oh and Dudley is only good in the first film. After that he just turns weird!

Yeah, in the 1st and 3rd one he was good but in the 5th he was weird. But the actor does portray Dudley as how I think of him very well.

Laughing he wears a shiny, metallic top which I think was pretty funny ^.^
