this movie will be any better than the 1-4?...although i like the movie i think they could have been better..this movie just seems to be getting more hype than the previous 4 so i was wondering why everyone thinks this one will be so great?
my personal opinion...the movies aren't as good as the books because they are geared more towards the younger kids while the books have strayed from that and have gotten considerably darker as the series goes on....and i also believe movies 5-7 will be better than 1-4 because the "kids" are getting older and the story lines are more interresting! _________________
this one is getting a lot of hype because it's a huge movie summer overall with Pirates, Spiderman, Shrek, Fantastic 4, and the other 4 million blockbusters that are coming out, but most of all because it comes out right before book 7, which is way bigger than the movie hype.
Plus the trailer looks better than any of the previous ones IMO. _________________
I'm also extra excited because it was my favorite book, introducing some wickedly awesome new characters. I'm hoping best book=best movie _________________ They say home is where the heart is, so your real home's in your chest. --Captain Hammer

I've seen a few people say that OOTP is their favorite, I really don't have a favorite I don't think but not that anyone cares but my girlfriend, she hates OOTP so much. She likes all the others but just despises OOTP.
I've had to convince her she will like the movie more than the book to get her to go see it. lol _________________

i think that books will always be better than films. because film is just a one person fantasy (director), he shows his thoughts and he revealed things which in his opinion are the most important... _________________

This is the longest book and yet it will be the shortest movie, that makes no sense.
Movies this summer all seem to be long. Pirates was almost 3 hours and yet millions still went to see it.
The studios really are trying too hard to adapt these into childrens movies when the books are no longer written for young children.
Now that J.K. Rowling is done writing the 7th book, she should do what Stephen King does with certain book/movie adaptations, and write the screenplay herself. Or just get more involved in the movie making process.

Which makes me all kinds of nervous. This was my favorite book and I'm so afraid they're going to chop it up. _________________ Blame it on a simple twist of fate. ~ Bob Dylan

Please put some facts under my nose. It isn't the shortest movie.
Entertainment Weekly wrote that it was only going to be 2:20, but that was before the final editting, so maybe they threw some stuff back in.
They also said Dobby wouldn't be in it, no Nevilles parents, no Ron playing quidditch, no Mrs. Weasley boggart scene.

awkward...some important details in the plot line are ones that they leave out...i guess that JK does have most of the final say so, tho, and its all her mastermind plan. yeah, im hoping for some good duels in this one. i think that the ministry of magic duel scenes will last about 20 minutes at least. _________________
If JKR has say of what goes into the movie, then does that mean we should be looking at the movies for clues to what will happen in DH? Forinstance, she told them they had to keep Kreacher in the film. But she was ok with them leaving out Dobby. Does this mean that JKR is helping them along for a set-up for when they need to film DH?
Because what if (just what it) Kreacher plays a pivital part in the DH book. They (the folks over at WB) will need to have a Kreacher in the movie. But if they leave him out of DH they would have to figure out a way to work him into the film somehow at a later time, making for confusion and annoyed HP fans.
If this theory is true, that we should be looking for clues in the movies, then does that mean that Neville's parents and his background story don't play a big enough role in DH to be kept in the film? And so on... _________________ Blame it on a simple twist of fate. ~ Bob Dylan

Well, i guess I was wrong.
____
I don't think we should be looking for clues in the movies, because Jo doesn't have the final say on anything. She just advises them that they might be making a wrong choice.
It was a good thing they didn't leave out Kreacher and Dobby, because Kreacher appears in the 6th book, and Kreacher was important to explainning Harry about how Harry was tricked to go to the Ministry.
how does harry find out about the room or requirement if not from dobby?? Nigel??? But I heard somewhere that Neville monologues about his parents, instead of the trio running into him at St Mungos (which they apparently cut out) _________________ They say home is where the heart is, so your real home's in your chest. --Captain Hammer
