Anyone else also heard that one of Harrys friends or someone that are close him
will fail him??
I've heard it and if it's true who can it be?? Any theory?

I've also heard that rumor... But who do you think will do it? Who do you think is flakey enough to do that?

i think it will be hermione. while everybody is running around killing death eaters she wont have the guts to kill 1. Then the 1 she lets get away ends up killing sumbody.

If it follows the pattern of his parents it will be Neville. Neville would be the Wormtail of the group. Him or Colin . I believe he is loyal to Harry but he is also a little clumsy too. Who knows?

Neville is too loyal to betray Harry, I mean he insisted on going with him to the ministry when he didn't have to. he might accidentally though...but that would be a fatal blow to his confidence, which has been coming along very nicely, so I hope not.

It would be funny if it was Colin, because he never gave him enough attention so he's bitter. But I really doubt it.

Colin is the guy everybody's forgotten about. That would be some kind of twist if JKR made him betray Harry. or it could just be him that does magic. that would suck Sad

I haven't heard the rumor, but "fails" does not necessarily equal "betray."

At the least, it implies that someone Harry was counting on did not come through.

It could be something as simple as Harry asking one of his friends to cause a diversion so that he might take Voldemort by surprise, only to have that friend lose his or her nerve, resulting in Voldemort being fully prepared when Harry arrives.

Lots of possibilities. I'll just throw Hagrid's name out there...obviously nobody has better intentions when it comes to Harry, but he's...easily distracted by certain things.

I think it is going to be Hedwig. Harry needs to get an urgent message sent but, Hedwig sees food and decides to snack and Harry's leg gets eaten by a gang of ants and loses a leg.

Back to reality:

Where did this rumor surface. I think if anyone is going to fail Harry it would be Hermione. She is the brains of the group but, is not the bravest of people. So she might fail a task that doesn't involve wittiness!

The Hagrid idea is a thought. But, he gets distracted when either drunk or tricked by a friend. I don't think he would be stupid enough to get drunk at a time like this or be tricked by an enemy. You never know.

The Hermione idea is pretty intresting. She's the brains of the bunch but I think she'll be tourtered into giving out really valuable info... But she could also be tortured into insanity, like the Longbottoms.

But she's not afraid to break the rules when they need to be, she's not afraid to say Voldemort, she's not too afraid to accompany harry on his horcrux hunt. We haven't seen Luna in a class, so its hard to judge her smarts. But intelligence is THE principle of Ravenclaw, so she's got to be. She has the sense not to freak out when she's in a tight spot.

I still think she can be one to fail. IDC if you don't agree. Luna has never been potrayed as smart. A house is a house. Bad people or cowards aren't always in Slytherin. As a lot of people have turned there back on Harry and they are from all houses including his own.

i heard this one too.. remember i said that i heard ron will be a death eater.. on that time.. that is the rumor for this.. but.. still .if there is someone who will fail harry.. it will be Ron or Luna..
