Ok I know I am very new, but I feel so welcome already and I need some help, as well as something to share.

With in the last year my son (age 2) was diagnosed with cancer. If any of you have been through this, you know the bills are astronomical! Well he needs another surgery, coming up this July. But of course this as well is crazy expensive. Well recently our family was given some HP Books signed by J.K. Rowling and some of the cast members of the movies.(we are such potter fans!) We would LOOOOOOOOOOVE to keep them, but we see this as a such an opportunity that maybe we could get our son this surgery he needs. Well sorry about going on and on-Ill get to the point. We need to sell these books to pay hospital bills. So if anyone wants them, or knows anybody PLLLLLLLLLLLLLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know! I would be happy to negotiate price and everything, I just need help taking care of my son. Thanks you guys, you have been so great already!

Well, how about you go to bigger Harry Potter forums. Try www.mugglenet.com or www.hpana.com

You should get buyers there.

Well Tri Care takes care of some of it, but we all call it Tri MESS because there are so many loopholes administrators can take so they dont have to take care of you like they should.

This is a smaller community and well from the how old are you topic, hardly any of us are over 18... meaning we are most likely broke... I think your best bet other than selling them online is to go to mugglenet and auction it off there... I would love to help you but I dont have money... I wish this post was up in Nov because I would have a reasonable amount of money and would have bought a book in a flash.

I find it hard to believe you can't get anything on Ebay...

Maybe if you start with a lower bid you'll get more luck. That's usually how Ebay works. I don't think none of us can really help you money-wise...We're just a bunch of kids really or poor broke college students.

It is because of all those fake signed books that people are selling. Nobody is going to buy them because they think they are a fake.

True HRH... and also how did you get these books? What kind of cancer does your kid have? Because there are a bunch of programs that help with some types of cancer. You could start a fundraiser for your kid. There are many things you can do just ask the doctors and such.. good luck! Smile God be with you and your son.

The problem is, it is hard to trust people on the internet. So, your best bet is to do things around where you live. Someone said do a bake sale, which I think is a great idea. If you say that is supports your son who has cancer, I can see people buying one cookie and leaving a 50 dollar tip. That is how some people work. I would have just bought a ton of food. lol

Also churches help out a bunch with things like that. My church takes love offerings every week at at least $150,000 is given EACH WEEK. So check with your church.

And, if you go to a big church you could get even more. Try and find the biggest one you can.
