So I was going to class right, I put my wet jacket in my locker with my Twilight book under the wet jacket. Not thinking about it. I went to my classess, still not thinking about it. And I went back to my locker at the end of the day, well.. It looks like my 'wet' jacket got the top of my Twilight book totally wet. The top is all wet, and some of the pages are wet. The even worse thing is that I borrowed this book sadly. Now what am I going to do? Should I use a fan to dry it out, or just let it dry out itself? Help.

Dry it as fast as you can.

In 9th grade a bunch of our lockers were flooded. Only one of my textbooks were really bad. I threw it in a bag and brought it home. We never used it in class, so I just left it home and forgot all about it. The last week of school came and our English teacher asked us to bring our books in. I was like, dang, where did I put that stupid thing... I finally found it... still in the plastic bag, which I had chucked in the basement.... covered in mold and mildew. I went to take it out of the bag, but the smell was so bad I just threw it away. I had to explain what happened to my teacher. Luckily, I wasn't charged since the damage was caused by the school, anyway. But ugh, so gross!

Use a hair dryer to dry it and lay something heavy on the pages to flatten them. Smile Good luck!

I did exactly what you did, it is looking better. There is like a blue stain on the side of the book because of the water. It looks weird, and on the top of the book there is a blue stain. But I think it will do, I dont think the person who I borrowed the book from won't mind. I think she will be alright with it. Smile Thanks everyone.

Drying it is perfect. I once was drying a book which got wet with juice all over it. It's perfect now...

Usually when I get something wet that's important I turn the oven on and put the book on top of the over so the heat is rising and drying the book.

To the stupid people that will ask, "Doesn't the book burn?" No it doesn't.

But still, you bought a book for no reason? If it is close to the friend's birthday, get him another copy.

Well if you damaged their coppyyyy...
Personally, I'd be wicked mad if someone damaged one of my books and tried to give it back to me.

You'd by extremely lucky if you borrowed the book near their birthday...you could buy a new one for them...

I don't think an adequate birthday gift is buying someone something they already owned but you happened to ruin.

It is common courtesy to replace something that you've damaged. If there is no way you can afford it (I mean literally no way), just talk to your friend about it.

You should leave it out in the sun. I think it will dry immediately

What did you think would happen if you put a book in a locker with a wet jacket?
