Where do you think the final battle will take place?

Places that are possible are:

Hogwarts - Already the scene of a battle and death - doubtful
Ministry of Magic - also already a scene of a battle - also doubtful
Godrics Hollow - makes sense to me to go back to where it all started
Graveyard - doubtful
The Riddles Mansion - maybe, but id put my money on Godrics hollow

Anyone else got any ideas on this? I cant think of anymore places at the moment.

Hogsmeade - doubtful
Somewhere in the Muggle World - I don't know about this one. It could be possible. Voldemort might try and take over the Muggles too, and then Harry would defeat and possibly(because JK's hinted at it) die there.

I can't think of other places at the moment..

Hogwarts - Already the scene of a battle and death -

Im inclined to believe that it will be in Hogwarts. It is the place that both Harry and Voldermort feel a strong connection to.
Ministry of Magic - also already a scene of a battle - also doubtful
Completely agree! I dun think it will be here
Godrics Hollow - makes sense to me to go back to where it all started
It makes sense too but im not so sure.
Graveyard - doubtful
Agreed!

The Riddles Mansion - maybe, but id put my money on Godrics hollow
Yep! Godric or Hogwarts! Laughing

Yes, Hogwarts And Godrics Hollow are probably most likely to be the final battle scene. Makes more sense then anything else, anyway.

Godric's Hollow would be interesting, but we are led to believe that will be where Harry will start his journey in Book 7. If this is indeed the case, then I think it would be very strange for the final battle to come back to the same place as the beginning of the book.

Good Point Jay! So that all leaves us with Hogwarts ( the only plausible idea in the list) but maybe it will be a different place regarding a secret that will probably be revealed or something like that. JK likes to surprise the readers. From a symbolical point Hogwarts would be the likely choice.

I hope the final battle does take place at Hogwarts, I always thought that would be really awesome and then we had one in HBP. However, I was kinda disappointed, there was the battle, but we didn't really get any of it as we follow Harry's perspective and he was stuck on the astronomy tower for most of it. Then we got a little taste of the action with Harry chasing Snape and Malfoy through the castle, but I think there could be so much more. There could be: separate battles taking place in different parts of the castle, random students joining in trying to protect their friends, all the secret passages being used for something useful, the list can go on for a while.

If it's not at Hogwarts then it might be a new location, which it's actually more likely to be at anyways, or how about back in the Department of Mysteries? I know we had the one battle their already, but what about the room behind the locked door, I'm sure its mention in OoTP wasn't the last we'll see of it. Either Harry will go here at some point during his travels to destroy the Horcruxes or at least part of the final battle will take place here.

I agree that if the 7th book begins at Godrics Hollow it doesnt make sense for it to end there too, so maybe Hogwarts will be the final place or like you say somewhere new we havnt seen yet.
The prospect of the whole school united against LV and the death eaters sounds good.
I thought Harry went through the locked door at the ministry at the end of OOtP, and it led to the prophecy room? Confused

Could be Hogwarts, maybe some of the School will witness the final battle between Harry and Voldie but I really doubt that.

It will probably be at Voldemort's hideout, wherever that is. The Riddle House?
This is only if Harry hunts him down first, though.

I go all for Godrics Hollow! It is where Harry got the scar and where Voldemort lost his power. She even said he was going to go back to Godrics Hollow in the HBP!

I think Hogwarts. I don't have any strong reasons for saying that, but most of the story so far has been at Hogwarts.

Nor me, I would have thought the chamber of secrets was somehow sealed off by DD anyway.

I think I remember some comment/slip by JKR that the chamber set would need to be stored.

As to the chamber being sealed by DD, the dark lord is now the most powerful wizard and should be able to open it.

Maybe Ginny will be involved somehow, kind of like COS. Voldie could say some crap like “ history will not repeat it self’ or “I will not lose this time” or something like that if the battle takes place in the COS.

That is a good theory, but I still think it isn't going to be in the COS.

Well it could be anywhere really..Voldermont could take Harry away to a secret place where he would have no help like in the GOF...but i would like to think it would be at Godric's Hollow..just seems like a good place to end it all.

I think it will be at Godrick's hollow because Harry's thinking of going to see his parents house and so Voldermort might find out and follow him there. That would make a good last scence for the battle.

Yeah but wouldn't he rather go alone and cry without Hermione and Ron watching him. But yeah It could be the same room and everything.

hmm i guess you are right. He would rather go alone than with someone to see him all emotional and stuff. But you would think he is smarter than that and it would see that going anywhere by himself is practically a trap..but then again he is led by emotion..not his brain i suppose.
