If it is inhumane to chain dogs to trees and never let them go, then there is this man who was chained to a tree for four years and was constantly beaten by his stepdad, and he had these broken bones and even tuberculosis. four years, man. four years... chained to a tree and never left that spot not even once. _________________

Did they find him dead or alive? Do you have an article one this? I'm curious about the state and possible future of this man. _________________

no. i just watched in on TV last night. he was alive when they found him, but very weak, unhealthy, sick, and possibly with a mental disorder... so they took him to the hospital to have him cured, then theyre probably gonna take him to a mental institution to have himself checked or something. the stepfather claimed that he was violent and stuff so they had to tie him up. but the concerned neighbor said he was a kind man. when he has money the family was kind to him... but when he he had no money, the family beat him up. (sickos). but disregarding what the neighbor said about him being kind, even if the family thought he was on drugs and was violent, they shouldnt have chained him up that way. they should have gone straight to the authorities. but they said that the authorities cant do anything and its best to just tie him up. hah... they seem to think they know more than these authorities when theyre just a bunch of illiterates. although we suspect that it was just a cover up story to conceal the stepfather's intentions of wanting to hurt the guy. _________________

Susan M. Wiley[1] (born April 18, 1957), better known as Genie, was a feral child who spent nearly all of the first 13 years of her life locked inside her room. She was finally discovered by authorities on November 4, 1970.

Similar-ish story. We watched a movie about her in psychology. _________________

That is really sad. These people had the most vulnerable little girl dropped into their laps, and they all raced to cash in on her. It's stories like these that make me question humanity. _________________

Yes. It seems only a few pockets of humanity are remaining. Of course, one of them is hp forums. But little precious else. _________________

I don't always skim -- just sometimes. It always bites me in the butt. _________________
