I heard that he was gay, just for curiosity, to me it doesn't change anything but i'm curious. _________________ Nothing can separe me from HARRY POTTER.

He is definitely gay, whether you think he is or not.

I don't really think he was gay, its not like he shagged Gellert Grindenwald, but why would JK say that Dumbledore looked gay? _________________

Technically, Jo said that she always thought of Dumbledore as gay. Any one can make whatever interpretation of it that he/she would like to make. She sort of leaves it open. _________________

| To me the fact that Dumbledore was gay made no difference... however when i heard that he was apparently gay I couldnt stop thinking "whats the point" I still dont understand why JK would even mention it... its not as if it was something that was hinted at in any of the novels.......all in all i thought it was something completely useless to say... i didnt give it much thought and i dont think about it when i am re reading the books or watching the movies |

I completely agree. It was useless to come out and say.
My theory is that the book rush would begin to lull as this generation's Harry Potter fans now have all of the books.
Well you know there's going to be activist groups saying "OMG He's Gay! What'll We do?!" "I know! Let's protest by buying all of the books from Wal-Mart and burning them. That'll show them!"
As Rowling sits in her armchair at home, sipping her tea and laughing at the follies of man. |

Someone asked who Dumbledore liked, she answered. People have asked her about DD and McGonagall before... so she took the opputunity to nix DD/MM. The "point" is, someone asked, she answered. It's her world that she created, she can answer and say anything she wants. And she never struck me as the sort of person who cares what other people think about her.
It actually was hinted at in DH, as the reason DD followed Grindelwald so easily at first, he was blind-sighted by love. _________________

Umm... at any moment I would just suspect it, yaa know, I did read the last book but... dunno... And yes, I think it was totally useless Jo said so because, maybe not to some of you, but MILLIONS around the world got quite dissapointed about it, you know ... I have no troubles but you know how other people is... well... that explains why he had no children... lol. But he's still the best! _________________ Snape is my favourite. I think i hated him when I read the Half Blood Prince but in two days i did read the Deathly Hallows and He was one of my Heros again.

I agree, it has been confirmed that Dumbledore was supposed to be a homosexual, though I was kinda surprised by that revelation, not that it changes much. He was probably too dedicated to his studies/Headmaster duties to have the inclination to pursue serious romantic relationships. _________________ Name: Philior Dandankus Ivanov Gordov
