i can't decide which i want to buy.
Originally I thought xbox 360 because:
1. All of my friends have it and have a clan on COD4 and Halo 3
2. More games i was interested in.
3. Cheaper.
Now that i have researched more i think PS3 would be better because:
1. Socom 4 which I was obsessed with Socom 2 online, also Devil May Cry 4 is a bonus.
2. Free online unlike xbox live
3. Most of the games i thought were only 360 i have found out were for PS3 as well (Rock Band, Skate, Assassin's Creed, COD4)
4. I am aware it cost more but I think once Playstation Home comes out it will make up for that, along with Blue-ray added on.
5. Another factor is i have read xbox problems are in the 30% area, which i believe due to the fact that 3 of my friends have had problems with them after the first month, while playstation's is less than 1%, which i believe because i haven't heard of one problem.
Please give me your input

I don't know where you got your percentage for Xbox 360 problems, but I have had mine for about 3 months now and nothing has happened to it.
As a personal note I would get the 360. I think the 360 has a lot better game play and I just like it better. I know you have to pay for the online play, but I think it's worth it.

read it somewhere, i don't have the link though so i can't provide it :/
well probably 7 or 8 of my friends have 360 and 3 of them already had to send them back to get fixed within the first two months.

Get a Playstation 3. Trust me. It has alot more potential than the 360.

360 does have a lot of problems, but that is why you buy the extended warrenty.
3 of my friends got the ring of fire the same weekend, and said they still rather have a 360 compared to any other system |

that's what i heard, they are only using part of playstation's ability because they aren't sure how to use it yet? so once they figure it out playstation will prevail proving to be the better system.
that's what i have heard from multiple websites.

it does have online but it is not as good as Xboxs'

I would never buy a system that caught fire 24 hours after being released in the US. Many had faulty wiring just so it would be slimmer and no fans. pssssh |
