If they did that, That would be dreadful. Putting us there and waiting for another Year for the 2nd part to begin, when the 1st part ended a climax part. That would kill me. Very Happy

From Mugglenet: "Part 1 to be released November 2010, Part 2 May 2011."

I'm very unhappy about it. Dunno where they'd split it, though.

I believe your wrong. It said that the first part would be coming out in November of 2010, and the second part becoming out in May of 2011. If you do not believe me, Go to this site:

well i think it has to be somewhere they can split into two story lines kinda. coz if they did it in the midle of sumthing really suspenceful, in the next movie they would have to go back a bit again to show exactly what happened so they could continue. do you know what i mean? they would have to replay a bit of what happened before otherwise it would start in full action.

i never thought about that.

but i think they would most likely split it at the ron leaving moment. becasue things change after that, it would help with the start of the second part.
but. if they did chose that moment. i hope they show hermione crying in her sleep , and her emotion towards it before they finish the first part.

If they split when Ron leaves then I dont think Part I will have enough stuff in it and Part II will have to cram too much stuff in. The two parts are only suppose to be about 2 and 1/2 hours.

I'm thinking they will split the movie right after Godrics Hollow or possibly right after Ron comes back.

I think it would be the other way around.. I don't think tehre will be enough stuff if they wait too long to end the first film.

The first part will still have... Dursely's leaving, the 7 Potters, Hermione explaining Horcruxes, The Wedding (assuming they keep it in), Fleeing from the wedding, Grimmauld Place, Kreacher's story, Breaking into the Ministry, camping, the goblin's revenge, and finally, Ron leaving.

The second act would have, Godric's Hllow, The silver doe, Xeno, malfoy Manor, Gringott's, Aberforth's story, and the Battle. And teh battle itself has plenty of stuff in it.

Within all of those sections a lot goes on, There should be plenty of stuff in both Parts to go on.
If they end the film with Ron returning, it might be too saccharin sweet for an ending.
if teh end any time after that, it would be too awkward of an ending. Every film needs a beginning, middle and end. It can't be just a bunch of stuff happening, each part has to tell a story unto itself.

Maybe the second one will go into more detail than the epilogue did with what
happened after the final battle and stuff.

That would be nice. I am kinda curious to know how the epilogue will go... I am assuming they will use make-p or something... Either way, I'm excited!

Me and my friends had this discussion, of course. I personally think they should do it this way....

The first movie ending as Harry decides which way to go "Horcruxes or Hallows" at Shell Cottage. We see him walking into a door as the first movie fades to black and the credits roll. That will leave the movie-only person in suspense of which he choses (Horcruxes with Griphook or Hallows with Olivander). I realize that doesn't exactly split the book in two, but it would leave more time for the one part they HAVE to get right... the battle of Hogwarts.
