well he wanted to kill harry didnt he after the boy came back from the grave, which meant that voldemort wasnt successful in killing him. so he said "imagine how he will reward me when he finds out that i have killed harry potter for him?"

well, voldie wants to kill potty himself.

Yeah, that is really weird. I need a moment to think about this one...

Perhaps Fake!Moody was unaware how obsessed Voldie was over killing Harry himself? Afterall, Fake!Moody wasn't in the graveyard to see Voldie tell the Death Eaters to leave Harry for him.

Actually I don't think Voldemort would have rewarded him at all for killing Harry for him. Voldemort always wanted to kill Harry himself, so he'd probably be punished instead.

^ I agree. He would've been punished, prolly even killed, but he didn't know that. He missed the whole, "I wanna kill potter meself" spiel.

Yeah Voldemort obviously wanted to kill Harry himself, so I don't think he would be happy if Barty Jr. already did.

yet it would benefit him more if he did. if any of his death eaters killed harry, its ok... coz they had neither the phoenix wand of voldemort which cannot kill harry, or the brand of magic which harry's wand recognized as voldiespells, or the elder wand which turned out to be harry's.

That is a hard one to figure out. He would probably be mad at Barty Crouch Jr.

Voldy would still be alive if he didn't want to kill Harry by himself instead.

The fellow was completely mental, and the news of Voldemort's successful rebirth deranged him even more, if possible. Even if he knew how much Voldemort wanted to kill Harry himself, he wasn't thinking properly.
