I loved these guys even before they went mainstream. I'm getting their album when it comes out. (March 25) along with the Sweeney Todd soundtrack Smile

Impossible.
The first song they had went RIGHT to Pete Wentz.
They sent it to them off the FBR/DR forums.
Wentz signed them right away for decaydance records.

It wasn't even enough time for the song to surface.

When their first single was out, it wasn't very popular.
They were underground.
That's when I liked them.

No.
When they're first single was out.
It was played on the radio.
They where never Underground or ever even hit the underground scene.
You're very much quite mistaken.

Just because something isn't "very popular" doesn't make it underground BTW.

mm i tend to agree. Panic At The Disco were never established as underground, they rose to fame quite quickly and plus, they were making the same style of music so just because they became mainstream doesnt mean they are any different. If that makes sense..

Has anyone noticed their music's (well, lyrics) constant reference to Chuck Palahnuik's books?

It just screams plagiarism to me; I can't see/listen past it whenever they're on the radio.

And I must agree on the fact that they were never underground ... they are still a very new band!
