Polyjuice potion is a very useful thing, but why risk the life of seven of Harry's friends when we can simply use the same potion to disguise Harry as just about anyone? That'd be a lot easier and less dangerous than having seven Harry Potters!

I think 2 Lupins will make it obvious.

^ lol, very true. Plus, if any of the members of the Order were seen leaving that house it would have been obvious.

I dont understand why they didnt just put a dissalutionment (wotever) spell on him or put him under the cloak and let him just walk on his own on a random night!

mmm i've been giving this a really long thought and you're half right

of course they couldnt have disguised harry as absolutely anybody cause im sure the DE knew quite well who were the people in the order

neither could they have disguised harry as another say lupin cause having 2 lupins is even more dangerous than 2 harrys

but what im thinking now they could've done is disguise harry as another member of the order, say one of the 2 that took the dursleys to a safe place (dont remember who those were sorry Razz )

i think that could've worked out better because i doubt very much that voldy and the others knew exactly who was taking harry to a safe place

Whatever their plan could have been... it could NOT invlove performing magic while at Privet Drive. The Order arrived at Harry's house before his birthday, therfore any sign of magic, the Ministry, which was being infiltrated, would have jumped on Harry in a second.

People would have died either way. I think that if the death eaters had the the order leaving the house, then they would have guessed Harry was with one of them. They would have followed all of the members of the order and killed any of them in their attempts to get Harry. Actually, more people might have even died that way. The death eaters wanted to keep Harry alive for Voldemort to kill. If a death eater thought that Harry was with a member of the order, then the DE might have killed that person just out of frusteration.
