His sexual orientation doesn't change that fact that he was a great wizard who cared about the wizarding society and his students.

I dont mind it at all...it doesnt change the way I view Dumbledore at all.

i would of liked dumbledore to be straight. but it doesn't really bother me that he is gay.
he still is an amazing wizard who acomplished feats in the wizarding world, and nothing can change that.

It dosen't change anything. He was still a great wizard and person. Like you guys have said, sexual orentation does not make a difference.

It dosen't change that I think he was a great wizard and a good person. I just think it's kind of strange that she choose now to tell us. But, in a way it dosen't really matter. So, yea I'm ok with it.

It doesn't change anything for me, except Dumbledore will become the punchline to a lot of jokes now, which is sad.

i put i am okay with it, because it doesnt matter... he wasnt gay in the books just j.k. trying to get more fans.

that is what i am not okay with... the books are finished so why make up things to boost publicity. if he was really gay... rita skeeter would have made that the title of her book.

i am not okay with marketing ploys.. but if a character in a book has a different sexual orientation throughout the story then yea im cool with it.

tbh i think JKR could have used it to her advantage more, if we knew earlier that DD was infatuated (or wateva she sed) with grindelwald then the fact that he fought him would be more dramatic. rather than friend vs friend it would be DD vs the person he loves

Why do people keep saying JKR did it for the wrong reason when they are not her, they don't know what went through her head, they don't know if he was always gay in her mind. You're being as bad as Rita Skeeter, persecuting someone with no proof, never having spoken to her yourself. I bet everyone that is saying that would probably have believed Harry was lying about Voldylocks coming back too.
