I think the series is PERFECT as it is..but i was wondering if J.K. Rowling was to write any other Harry Potter related/spin off books what would you want them to be like?

here's my idea, she should write 7 new books for the Marauder Era, at Hogwarts with James Potter, Lilly Evens, Sirius black, Remus Lupin, Severus Snape, etc. And introduce new characters, plots, story lines for that time in Hogwarts History. I know it wouldn't have the main character vs. Voldemort that harry Potter does, but i positive she could come up with another storyline that is brilliant.

I thought this would be fun and interesting to hear everyone ideas?

Haven't like half the people on this forums already suggested that? O.o

I think they should do a TV show set during the First War with plenty of 80's culture and classic rock music. It'd be awesome. Wink

I second the notion. Looking into the day to day lives of these hogwarts teachers as studnets would be quite remarkable. Some readers who are not quite as hardcore into the series however, may qucikly lose interest, in search of an alternative read with more acion.

What? It's the First War! You know the chances for tragedy and death and suffering and drama and sex are like UP HERE. Good television.

How about some more books about the life of their children? This way we could learn more about the future of the Harry Potter's main characters and of course meet their children.

having just finished the series today for the 2nd time I am left yet again wanting more.

I think she needs to fill in many gaps that have been left open.

First id like to know what happens after the end of the 7th book (before the 19 year fast forward)

I think I'd like to see the First War as well. I'd prefer it in book format rather than television though. It'd be so neat to see how all the adults in the series were as teens and young adults.

If it was about the Marauder's days in Hogwarts, it would be set around the 60's? Yeah, it would be amazing, but JK said she's not writing anymore Potter novels.

Well, she's already made the equivalent of the GDP of all third-world countries combined. Anything she does now would be for kicks!

If they geared it toward a more adult audience that would be so kewl.

edit: It would be like Mad Men mixed with a sprinkling of Supernatural combined with a spicy BAM! of Harry Potter! YES.

this thread is about a spin-off in general, kids, marauders, prequels, what ever.
The other thread is about only the kids.... they're different enough to both co-exist. Very Happy

Any more expansion of the Harry Potter universe I would love! But a book based of the Marauders time at Hogwarts would be sweet!

I would want a spin off about the Founders of Hogwarts.

^ That would be pretty interesting. Although I dont think an entire series should be dedicated to that era [one book would be good enough for me Smile]

I also support having a series based off of the Marauders era!!!

Can anyone get my wife a backstage pass to meet Bon Jovi? Any pass that gets her to see Bon Jovi face to face whether after a show or a TV performance...ANYTHING that gets her in front of him would be fantastic
I am prepared to pay for this. Thanks to all who try to help.

I would want a spin-off tracing Sirius and Bellatrix's generation of Black's. I'm currently working on a fanfic about that era and I would love to see JKR write about it.

I would like to see Doctor Who/Harry Potter crossover if J.K Rowling and Russel T. Davis teams up.

I could see this happening.
1) TARDIS lands on Hogwarts Quiddish Field.
2) The Master and Voldemort Team Up

^ That could be interesting, but i can only ever see it as a parody, they couildnt do that with any seriousness, seeing as the Doctor probably doesnt believe in Magic - He is a man of science.

I dont know if i would like any more Harry Potter. I love the series as it is and i dont want it ruined by more being added to it.

If there was though, i would either like something about the Marauders or Bellatrix Lestrange cause she is one crazy mamma.

Where did that come from??? LOL

Back on topic:
I think it would be neat for JK to write more books on Harry's parents, Sirius, Snape, etc. I think the whole Dumbledore/Voldemort/Snape relationship is really interesting, and still a bit confusing. I'd like to read more on that.
