well, yesterday, there was one in pakistan... and there was one here in manila. it was scary coz i was just thinking about going to that place where the bombing took place when i realized i was broke so i did not go. i was like, "thank God im broke..." something which i never said before.

its was really strong, i heard. it felt (even to those who lived a little far from the mall (thats where the bombing took palce)) like a strong earthquake.

You could try shopping online? I don't like to do that either, but i you're desperate and in need, it might be a way to go... I am just so happy you weren't at that mall!

thanks fiendfyre...

hmm... i dont really go shopping online... i find it kinda scary coz you give too much private info about your credit card, say. well i guess i can wait until the threat is gone. or i can go to a less popular mall... i dont see terrorists targeting those small malls....

that rhymes! small mall! hahahah!!!

small mall Rolling Eyes

I won't shopping online because you can't try the stuff on first... some sites let you return the stuff if it doesn't fit, but it's such a hassle.

Yeah, going to some random stores that would be less likely to be targetted is a goood idea.

yeah. and i cant go online shopping coz my body shape is so weird most clothes dont fit me properly. ive really got to try them on. the only thing i can buy would be shoes, because my feet are normal. but then again comfort is of paramount importance... so ive still got to try them on.

that is soo scary. I live in Canada, so our soldiers go to locations instead of fighting here. We're in the war in Afganistan, but not in Iraq. Sorry, but I can't pinpoint where pakistan is....where is it?

soo glad you're alright!! Very Happy Shocked Crying Wink

it used to be part of india... but then it separated. its a muslim country, and india is hindu... so its the religious conflict i suppose that caused them to separate.

hmm.. well our soldiers are also supposed to go to where the terrorists are... but the terrorists, being terrorists, attack civilians... and of course they have to do it in a populated, or rather, overpopulated place. manila is the most overpopulated place in the philippines. i think we have about 12 million people here.

i am happy you are okay hbp

i feel that you should be careful, but not stay at home in fear. thats what the terrorists thrive off of. but dont put yourself in harms way either.

do you have anything to protect yourself? what are the laws regarding weapons in your country? is there a group that you can travel with. terrorists are more likely to take someone who is alone rather than in a group and protected.

Im glad your alright also.

Im also happy that the Unuted States actually recognized it as a terrorost attack...

I come from Armenia...a small country in between Turkey and Azerbaijan and North from Iran. I live in America but life is hard in Armenia...were a Christian country in the middle East surrounded by enemies...kinda like Israel.

anyway in 1915-1923 there was a hug Genocide. 1.5 million Armenians massacred and killed. It was done by the Turkish Governemt to get rid of Armenians. and America doesnt recognize it...because we have a base in Trueky and if we admitted them killing 1.5 million Armenians then they wouldnt let us keep the base...

what do you mean?
no i think were not much like most of africa. were still urbanized, but its a very poor country. the resources are not properly distributed and we have too much corruption. 70% of the population are marginalized (or are we the ones who are marginalized from them?) however, i dont know the comparison between the phils and a few other african countries like nigeria.
