I THINK THE TITLE SAID IT ALL! The last book did not offer enough closure for all charecters involved!

What did mrs weasley say about harry being dead, temporarily? where did he live? what happened to the dursleys? etc i could go on!

I've actually added a little onto the last chapter before the epilogue in a bit of fan fiction I've started, though it's pretty much all Harry/Ginny and Ron/Hermione. I could expand it, but I think I'd need to reread the last few chapters of the book to make sure I don't head off in the wrong direction with it.

I wish the ending did go into a bit more detail, but I was happy because at least we found out the basics.

I also think that the ending should have gone into more detail, though that can be solved with an epilouge! Or whatever you call what happens after a story! Has this been suggested before?

I was not happy with the ending. JKR should take a little more time in this book, and this should not be the final book. A book 8 should be followed, like harry potter after the death of Lord Voldy, etc. Hanging ending!!!Too bad she concluded immediately by writing 19 years after.

I personally was like wow ok he just basically left and then went to 19 years later I was like we dont get to know what happens how the world recovers? What happens to the Malfoys, and what about the weddings, etc I wanted to see the embrace he got from Ron, Hermione, Ginny, the weasley's and such you know.

i kind of liked the ending. i liked how she ended with them 19 years older.... but she could have like more closure as to how the rest of the magical world resloved..... and seriously who else here wanted to read about harry proposing to ginny and the same with ron and hermione! that would have been adorable.... if she could have added that in it would have been better

I haven't read the book yet but i know what happen at the end... i was a bit disappointed but... I find well to have written their life after 19 years, it was an good idea!

when i was first reading it yes i was crying but it was bc... boohoo 10 m-more pages... now 3!!! -tears- but i re read it and i was like whats?! this is retarded... i mean... the name of the kids didnt touch me at all... and i dont know i was like... shouldnt put an epilogue or whatever... shoulda just ended with the last chapter. well no not to end it there... i mean... add a few chapters but dont go to the future itll drive us nuts since she is no longer doing harry potter.

Agreeing with most people here, Ending wasn't that fascinating or enthuastic at all..

I found the ending too simple, let's say. Harry marries Ginny.. Ron marries Hermione.. They have kids.. The kids go to Hogwarts..Wow, none of us expected that. [/Sarcasm]. J.K could have at least have mentioned what happened to the Dursleys, Something like Harry and Ron passing by a Newspaper Stand in Diagon Alley, nineteen years later, and finding the cover containing the faces of a dead family, who Harry recognises immediatly as the Dursleys, who have been found dead and a Dark Mark sent over their house... I don't know. Something to leave is in Suspence would be nice. Not just "All was well."..

I like the ending, but you guys seem to be talking about the epilogue, but either way I like both because she left it open for fanfics, (you people who love to write them), or imagination/theories, and there ain't nothing wrong with that.

in an interview she said that she was going to write an encylopedia about the ending

although i think a way she told the ending so well maybe she did wanted you to think about what happened after what epiloge said

the ending was good. i have to admit before DH came out i wanted harry to die, just so there wouldn't be any more books and stuff.

but by the time i finnished the 7th book i was glad it was a happy ending.

I was really disappointed with ending. Its like she threw us off by being really predictable. We all had are really elaborate theories about what was going to happen but it turned out to be just straightforward .
