Well, do you have access to the folder that has the music?
Try going to My Computer and accessing it from there.

So, when you goto Start> My computer> the Device, you can see the Mp3. files but can't just right click and delete them? Then, It sounds like your Mp3 requires software to add/remove music. If the folder is invisible windows has the option of making it appear, but I don't recommend that option unless you know what you're doing.

if deleting doesn't work you can always right click that drive and format it
