Me and my friend saw the trailer and decided that it would be a great laugh to watch it. I mean we looked at those too thin character with too big heads that danced ballet and it was like *LOL - Japs are mental!!*
Then we started watching it... and fell in love...
Each episode is based on one of the well known stories (like The Nutcracker or Giselle) and the whole story is a somehow deformed Swan Lake. The soundtrack consists of classical music (from Ballet shows), and opening is nothing else but a remix of Swan Lake theme.
This anime is a piece of art. The story is beautiful and so moving!!!! You can find everything there. Humour, romance, angst, friendship, jealousy, sacrifice... You won't find the rapid action in there but that's the point. It's all about subtlety and feelings, about symbolism and allusions...
We felt drawn to it episode after episode...
We cried and laughed...
And I can tell you that it is one of the most beautiful series I've ever seen

i watched the first two episodes and i didn't like it to much. Thats something my younger sister would like.
