The series follows Sookie Stackhouse, a barmaid living in Louisiana who can read people's minds, and how her life is turned upside down when the Vampire Bill, walks into her place of employment two years after vampires 'came out of the coffin' on national television.

Cast List
Anna Paquin ... Sookie Stackhouse
Ryan Kwanten ... Jason
Rutina Wesley ... Tara Thornton
Michael Raymond-James ... Rene Lenier
Jim Parrack ... Hoyt Fortenberry
Stephen Moyer ... Bill Compton
Alec Gray II ... Coby Fowler

I couldn't help noticing similarities between this show and Twilight.... weird.

Me tooo!
Lane was my favorite, though.
At least until the last couple of seasons.

-on topic-

Was this show at least any good?

The show was good... it really did remind me of Twilight in some ways, which I found kinda annoying....
The first episode left a lot of mysteries open for the series, which makes me interested to see more episodes.

Oh, I'm not saying that True Blood ripped off from Twilight... actually, the True Blood series is based off a series of books that came out before Twilight did.
Some of the similarities are uncanny, though... maybe I'm just reading into it, oh well.

I watched it (I missed the first two or three minutes because I was still watching the House marathon that was running on USA). It was pretty good, not as good as Moonlight was (still bitter about that one), but decent.
