I'm reading them for the 4th time now. I didn't get started reading until 3 months before OOTP was released in the theaters.

I was interested in reading when I saw the first film, but my sister said I should wait until all the movies were finished before reading.... So I had intended on doing that until I was convinced, thankfully, otherwise by some other friends that said that was a horrible idea.

I haven't stopped reading them since, although at times it's hard due to other commitments. I didn't actually go see OOTP until I finished the book... which was a week after it was released in the theaters.

And knowing what I know from the books and rewatching the films that I enjoyed made me realize how bad they were after POA. At least they got most of the cemetery scene right in GOF. And the Voldy/Dumbledore fight was fun to watch. But I seriously wanted to see the DOM goofy Ron which always makes me laugh.

too many times for me. I used to think HP was a big joke when adults would tell me they enjoyed it. (yes, i'm ashamed) but in 2006 it all started. I was out of town with some friends and it was raining and GOF had just come out on DVD so they made me watch it. I bought OOTP and read it the next day then HBP and DH when it came out last July. Been reading them over and over ever since. It's the only addiction I have besides my dogs!! Very Happy

I pick at least one up every day and read bits of it for fun.

I've actually taken to buying the multi-colored post-it tabs and marking all the pages and highlighting my favorite or most important parts. (I did this mostly before DH came out with the hopes of finding clues as to what would happen.)

So yeah, my HP books actually look more like textbooks. Whenever a friend of mine sees them for the first time, they immediately gasp and make a reference to my being completely obsessed.
