Is Remus Lupin gonna die? Is it fitting that he dies? Vote on the poll and reply to say why/how.

Don't think so. Look at this list:
Harry's parents died when he was 1 year old.
Serius died while he was in his fifth year.
Dumbledore died while he was in his sixth year.

Seems to me that'd it'd be redundant to kill one more of Harry's mentors. Lupin and Hagred are quite safe from death, I think. Harry's friends are the ones in real danger.

Redundant... I don't think so, though I can see where you're coming from. Each of his mentors provided a different aspect that he's leaned on so far to get through. In the end, he's going to have to defeat Voldemort alone, and no one's going to be there. So I think she's killing them off one by one to make him feel completely and utterly alone before the climax of the book.

I don't think he should or will die. I think J.K. is really trying to end the series with a main charcter book. I hope she does, but I would like to see all the characters return. Yay Hagrid! Very Happy

Harry needs at least one adult voice to guide him, and Lupin's someone he respects and trusts, so I don't think he'll be killed off. At least, I hope he isn't. He better not be...

Lupin wont die. It'll just overdo the 'death of good guys'.
Sirius, DumbleDore, Harry's parents.

Please no! Lupin is my favorite character! But, with my luck, JK WILL kill him! She likes killing my favorite characters(Sirius&Dumbledore)!

No I don’t think he should die, I don’t really see any point in him dying.

I don't think J.K.R. would be so cruel to Harry.
I mean, he's already lost his parents, his godfather, and Dumbledore, so why make him lose any other important person?
It's mean.

now that sirius is dead its only fitting that voldemrot goes after remus (havent you noticed whoever snape dislikes ends up dead?)....he hated harrys mum and dad....he hated sirius...lets just say he wasnt so crazy about dumbledore (he kinda killed him lol)...so see! when remus was a child his friends were enemies witth snape so snape will go after him next...i mean hes almost gotten rid of the lot...he killed james and sirius....peter was to much of a coward and loser to help the order so he joined voldemrort....the only one left is remus so ya he will die

Well maybe Harry should die then... to take him away from his suffering...

I still say Hagrid though.

My friends and myself all agree that if Hagrid dies we WILL NOT finish the book, we don't care if it's the next Tom Sawyer of Grapes of Wrath. Hagrid can't die.

Well he is the last one of Harry's protectors...
The people he met... in the order they met him (that he can remember):
- Hagrid; picked Harry up from the Dursleys
- Dumbledore; he meets him at the end of book 1
- Sirius; at the beginning of book 3, before he gets run over by the knight bus
- Lily; he hears her talking inside his head
- James; he hears him talking as well... but after Lily

And the order they die in...
- James
- Lily
- Sirius
- Dumbledore
- Hagrid?

I said he will die, but i have a strong feeling that he won't. Like others have said, that would be too many loses for the good guys.
