In the Goblet of Fire in the ending when Harry was in the hospital wing. Maybe 3 weeks after I got the Order of the Phoenix i wondered whu Dumbledore couldn't have shown Fudge Harry's memory of Voldermort's return in the pensieve byhaving harry insert his memory in there then that would've saved Harry some torment in the Order of the Phoenix and the ministry attack could've been prevented.

Good idea, but I'm not sure Fudge would have believed DD, anyway. Memories can be tampered with, as we saw in Slughorn's memory in HBP.

Besides Dumbledore wouldn't have gotten him to stay long enough, nor ever cornered him again to show him. He'd brush it off as being a "waste of time" and then leave, it probably would have made it worse because that would have been a more militant way of doing it than just saying it. Fudge would have tried harder to quiet them.

Yeah, but half the plotline in OOTP was about the World turning on Harry and Dumbledore, JK probably had it all planned out Razz

There are much better ways of making a wizard tell the truth, but somehow they arent used like why not give him the truth potion? especially when he was sent to court.

That is a good point but I think Fudge would have denied it anyway. I think deep down he knew Dumbledore was right, he just couldn't let himself beleive it was true.

^ What she said.

And like Firebolt said, in OoTP Harry had to struggle with half of the wizarding world not believing him, which he later overcame. if Fudge believed Dumbledore and Harry right away, it would've been boring. JKR planned it all.

I dunno what it was like in the book but in the OotP film I think it's Lupin who says something about Fudge being so scared that his mind just won't accept the truth until he's seen Voldy for himself.

Fudge pretty much probably wouldn't have believed it, probably thought it wa s a spell or something if he would have.

He just refused to believe until he saw him in actual person I guess.
