I don't know about ya'll, but this film left me feeling empty. Personally, I would have sat through a four to five hour film if it was done with most of the book in it. They left so much out of the book, that I was constantly trying to figure out where they were in the book, at which part. If you didn't read the book, you'd be lost, and if you did, you'd be disappointed. I felt totally disappointed, they really could've done a better job on the film.
The things I didn't like:
The change in castles, the dark nature of the film, hated the dementors and how they portrayed them flying through the air. They glide above the ground, not fly. The choppiness of the film. Personally, I really wanted to see Professor Snape totally knocked out with his head hitting the roof of the tunnel. They totally left the firebolt out until the very end, and we only know that Sirrius sent it because of a feather of Buckbeaks.
I did like when:
Hermoine hit Draco, when Harry rode Buckbeak and all the scences with Buckbeak.
They really could've done a better job on the movie. I'm feeling the rest are going to be just as choppy and disappointing, if it weren't for my daughter I probably wouldn't bother to see them. She of course is going to want to get the DVD too.
Yes, financially its a success, but it wasn't true to the book. After all, there main audience are children. Not movie buffs like myself. _________________ You're just jealous cause the voices only talk to me! |

Well, I thought it was good. Sure it didn't portray the book as well as it could have, but JKR obviously thought Cauron did a good job or else she would have said something about it. Imagine what GoF will be like. That's the BIGGEST book. _________________

I liked the book better but I still think the movie was pretty good. Its the only HP DVD I have. I'm watching it as I type this. My favorite part of all was when Hermione hits Draco. That part makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside! |

There wasn't anything I didn't like about the movie. I thought they did a great job with makking the book into a movie and they did it brilliantly! Although somehow I wished it could have been a bit longer for some odd reason. Other than that though every minute of it was exceelent and pure genius. I liked the ending and of course, the classic part of the film...Hermione punching Malfoy(best scene)! Everything and anything about the film was well done and awesome, to me that is. _________________

I have alot to say about this movie!!! I hated the new Dumbledor. He is the worst Dumbledor they could have choosen. Like in number 4 he charges at Harry and yells at him and in the book it says he asked harry Calmly if he had put his name in the goblet. That was my main dislike but it is not the only one.
Another is in the 3rd movie they are never wearing their school robes. Then they don't have the magic that the first two had! Then the grounds completly changed! I hate the way the castle looks and hagrids hut.
Also Sierious and Lupin and wormtail are nothin how I imagened them. Same with the warwolf. It doesn't look anything like the wolf i pictured.
It also didn't have my favorite part. That they won the Quidditch cup.
There is one thing I did like though. How they kind of came in contect with their past selves like how hermione threw the rock and hit Harry.
Well that is what I think about the 3rd movie. |

i was very disapointed in this movie .... honastly even the great hall was changed. they just go about changing what ever they like throws people off. thats why i disliked the director of the 3rd and 4th movie. he makes things the way he wants. not by the story line. _________________ Peace is a lie. example number one...harry gets the firebolt at the end when in the book he recives during chritmas...he uses it to win the quiditch cup. oh wait that wasnt in the movies neather. on another note the firebolt was taken away from harry for investigation because they thought black sent it .(he did) at the time nobody knew the truth. _________________ Peace is a lie. I agree with most of what everyone said. The grounds were totally changed around, they should've stayed in their robes, and just nothing was right. There were a few humourous parts, like when Ron woke up while Harry was looking at the Map. "The spiders wanted me to tap dance... I don't want to tap dance." "Well, you tell those spiders, Ron." "Yeah, tell the spiders... *Snooore.*" And as much as I adore Draco and all his jerkness, I was happy when Hermione punched him. But, the first two movies had that antique, Victorian feel, like it was really a place magic could take place. This movie, along with the fourth, didn't have that feel. It just wasn't the same. I wish the director of the first two films could've stayed. Say, why did he go anyway? _________________ Gorgeous eyes shine suicide. |

I genuinely liked this film more than the others.
It just seemed waayyy more complete and also, the dark theme helped . _________________ 'Brightness was drenching through the branches
When she wandered again,
Turning sliver out of dark grasses
Where the skylark had lain,
And her voice coming softly over the meadow
Was the mist becoming rain.' |
