I have a feeling that there is something fishy about Crookshanks. I don't know if he is a good or bad animagus. All I know, is that there is something different about him.
I have heard rumours that he is Mundungus. I don't really believe this because there is scenes when they are both in the same room.
They say that Crookshanks is really Mundungus in animagus form. They both have the same description which is, "Bandy-legged, and red-hedded."
I don't recall him Mundungus being red-headed but what do you all think? Are there any other animals in HP that you would like to dicuss? Any animals you think are mysterious?

u say Crookshanks and mundungus have been together in sum scenes.
So mundungus isnt crookshanks. But because of their resemblance,
mundungus's animal form might resemble crookshanks and mundungus could
have used this on some occasions to spy on harry and co. when crookshanks
is not in sight.
This is just a theory.

That is true. They also said that Crookshanks is have a Kneazel. So maybe Mundungus could be a Kneazel in Animagus form resembling Crookshanks. Also, when you are a cat, you are stealthy. And remember? Mundungus likes to steal things ... Like the Black family goblits.
You never know though, Mundugus could be a spy for the Death Eaters.

Sometimes I like to think that he/she is a good animagus. Seeing as he always attacked Wormtail when he was in his rat form ( Scabbers ).

I dont think that Crookshanks is Mundungus as an animagus. I think Crookshanks is just a smart cat.

Your thoughts are all very good but JKR already stated quite clearly that Crookshanks is not an Animagus. He is just a very clever cat.
