Hiya, Im going on holiday on 24th September to France for 12 days. We are staying 60 miles North East of Paris, and have 3 day passes for Disneyland.

I was just wondering has anyone here ever been to France on holiday or been to Disneyland, Paris? Ive read lots of reviews and read both good and bad so Im just after some more opinions really.

I think Im more excited about it than my kids! Ill be shouting "Woohooo, Mickey, can I have your autograph!!" hehehe

The Paris one has been open for about 10 years or so, apparently its just like the Florida one but on a much smaller scale. Its got a studios too but its also small compared to Florida.

My kids are going to love it, Im just dreading the drive from Wales to France and the ferry Shocked , Im really nervous about that!

Im trying to brush up on my French before we go, otherwise we will be ending up with all the wrong meals and shopping etc... Very Happy

Im looking forward to going into Paris too, I want to see Notredame and the Mona Lisa in The Louvre. And you cant go to Paris and not climb the Eiffel tower.

Wow...it sounds like lots of fun! I've never been to the one in France, having never been to France myself. I've been to Disneyland in Los Angeles, and that was lots of fun! I hope you have a good time!

Oh wow lucky you going to Disneyland Paris, I am so jealous Very Happy - although I don't envyyou for having to learn french again the first time was bad enough I think if I tried to learn french again I might just die, I was so bad at french.
I have not been on a ferry for more than about 10 mins but I do sympathise but look on the bright side it will all be worth it - it's a good thing you are not going on a plane, I heard they don't start working proparly until tommorrow or something.

Good luck on your trip to Paris I hope you have fun !

Thanks Horcrux! Im so excited now, Im looking forward to Disney but Im also looking forward to seeing rural France. We are staying in the countryside and are close to Compiegne where the armistice to end world war one was signed.
There is also a Asterix theme park close by too and loads of castles and chateaus so its going to be quite interesting.
Ill take loads of pics to show when I get back Wink

We have friends in Paris and we have visited them, we also once travelled through France a bit in a caravan. France is a beautiful country in many aspects. It has nice beaches and also great mountains (Mont Blanc).

My brother's been to France loads of times and he also visited Disney Land and he was really fascinated. It's supposed to be great. I hope you enjoy yourself!

Hi Everyone, well im back off my hols and it was amazing!
We went to Disney 3 days, it was awesome.
My 8 year old daughter and I went on the Aerosmith rock and roll coaster, it takes off at 10000 miles an hour and your stomach is in your mouth and then does about 5 loops with the song " Dude looks like a lady" It was brilliant.

Another favourite was Pirates of the Caribbean, it isnt a thrill ride but the anamatronics (sp?)were so life like. The theming of Disney is something else, everything is so detailed, the parades are something else.
Id love to go again, my son loved Buzz Lightyears laser blast where you have to shoot all the bad guys as you go around on a rotating car - really cool. I sound like a big kid!!
France is a lovely country, with some beautiful things to see but I must admit I missed the hillls and mountains as Im from Wales.
We went into Paris the one day and took a Batobus on the river. We stopped at Notre Dame and climbed the towers there.
I have never been so scared in my life! It was so high I felt really dizzy, but the view was amazing. We got to go into the bell tower and saw the great bell thats rumoured to have been rung by Quasimodo the hunchback of Notre Dame.
Inside the cathedral is absolutely beautiful, there were lots of people lighting candles there and praying. My son even said his prayers from school - bless him.
I was outrages as some woman behind us said " Get me out of this dump!!" Some people just dont appreciate pure beauty and history.
We saw the Arc de Triomphe and The Louvre and the Eiffel Tower but I would love to go back and see the Mona Lisa as the Louvre was shut the day we went. I heard alot that Paris is a dirty place, although the outskirts are very rundown and dirty, the main streets and attractions were very clean and grand.
The only thing that put me off was there were beggars everywhere, Bosnians mostly and nearly all women. It did get annoying being asked if you spoke English every 5 minutes and having a paper cup rattled at you!
Anyway it was good, just thought I would share a little with you, I will upload some pics in the next few days.
Glad to be back!!![/img]
