if voldy cant hurt harry while he still can call number 4 privit drive home, why doesnt he agressivly try and destroy the horcruxes and then voldy before his 17th b day? _________________ but perhaps those who are best suited to power are those who have never sought it. I think you are forgetting that Harry turn seventeen soon after school.(His birthday is on July 31st) He hasn't got a clue where or what the remaining Horcruxes are. How can he find and destroy the Horcruxes and then defeat Voldemort in like a month? There's not enough time. And then you are also forgetting that Dumbledore told Harry that he must stay at Privet Drive until he is 17 to complete the enchantment. He can't leave before that. And finally, Harry has protection only within Privet Drive. He is vulnerable outside. Remember Voldemort could touch his face in GoF, without hurting himself, like what happend in PS/SS? _________________ Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus

Siddu, Wat do u mean by completing the enchantment, and wat happens if Harry completes the enchantment. _________________ I made this Sig
dumbledore put an enchantment on harry where as long as he can call a place with his mothers blood's (Petunia) house home, he cannot be touched by LV. This enchantment only lasts until he is 17, but i dont remember anything about him having to stay untill ne is 17 _________________ but perhaps those who are best suited to power are those who have never sought it. Harry doesn't have to stay unitl he's 17 if he doesn't want to, like in COS where Ron comes to get him and he leaves before the end of the simer, Harry could chose not to go back to the Dursleys but I think he will beacause its what Dumbledore wanted.
Okay,maybe I misinterpreted it. Here's the passage (pg 57);
" The magic I evoked fifteen years ago means that Harry has powerful protection while he can still call this house home. "
"This magic will cease to operate the moment that Harry turns seventeen ; in other words, the moment he becomes a man. I ask only this : that you allow Harry to return, once more, to this house, before his seventeenth birhtday , which will ensure the protection continues until that time. "
That's what DD tells the Dursleys. And Harry says at the end of the book(pg 606):
"I'm going back to the Dursleys' once more, because Dumbledore wanted me to," said Harry. "But it'll be a short visit, and then I'll be gone for good."
So let me refine my earlier post. Harry can choose, but as I said, he's vulnerable outside the house, so DD asked him to stay there for a while. And since he wants to go to Godric's Hollow and attend Bill's wedding, he won't be able to accomplish his mission before he turns seventeen. I guess DD wants to keep Harry safe. And since the book takes place over a year, it'll probably take that long. _________________ Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus
Well you all certainly post alot I think I'll be paying a bit more attention here but as for Harry dying I seriously doubt this will happen.
I'll think a bit more on this topic and repost you all have put me on some deadends but I'm sure there's something we all overlooked but if I remember correctly I recall JK saying in an interview that not harry but two ((secondary)) characters will be dying.
She also said in another interview that she'll be kind to Harry, but Harry will die. I have decided not to listen to anything JK says until i have read the last book. _________________ I made this Sig

I don't know about that this is the only book in history to be waited on like this. I'd pay close attention to what JK has to say but I think as her fans appeal more towards Harry living to keep options open she will undoubtably listen.
At first I wanted everyone to die and Voldemort to win, simply because I really think the actors in the movies are retarded looking, and that makes me angry.
But then I really started liking the books a lot a lot more and now I really don't want harry to die. I hope the horcrux within harry can be destroyed without him dying if there is one there. If not I just want him to live anyway.
I read somewhere that snape might turn out good and dumbledore wanted to die. Since Draco couldnt kill Dumbledore I hope he turns out good too
This would be great along with all the kids living because then JK Rowling could use the --- quote Waynsworld --- mega happy ending
I hope the last book is really long with lots of action and everyone living happily ever after living great lives with ron marrying hermione, harry marrying ginny, and malfoy becoming friends with all of them.
His eyes are as green as a fresh pickled toad,
his hair is as dark as a blackboard.
I wish he was mine, he's really divine,
the hero who conquered the Dark Lord.

i think the last chapter of book 7 will b the boy who lived, or the boy who lived again, or the boy who lives, or some variation of the first chapter _________________ but perhaps those who are best suited to power are those who have never sought it. I think that Harry could possibly be killed in the last book. I think that he will kill Voldemort, but that he will be killed along with him.
My reason is due to his scar. We know it connects Harry and Voldemort to each other, and its been a major issue in the series, so its only fitting that if Harry kills Voldemort, Harry himself dies because of the connection between him and Voldemort via the scar, and it would be the same if Voldemort killed Harry.
This series is a "Good triumphs over Evil" type of story, but that doesn't mean that Harry is nessassarily going to survive. Even if they both die due to the connection from Harry's scar, good is still beating evil. _________________ "Blocked again and again and again until you learn to keep your mouth shut and your mind closed, Potter!"
That's quite interesting, but we don't know if the connection is so strong that it would cause Harry's death when he kills Voldemort. So far, the connection only enables Harry to share see , hear and feel what Voldemort can, and enables him to sense Voldemort's prescence when he's close. It appears to be a sort of "telepathic" link. And besides, the Prophecy deson't state anything about both of them having to die. They both might die, but it doesn't have to happen. If Harry dies, I don't think it'll because of a connection. _________________ Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus
