has anyone ever noticed how ron is sometimes prejudice against muggles?

he always asks harry, "how was it with the muggles?" This seems sort of rude, as if he was thinking that all muggles are as bad as the dursleys.

since the whole muggle vs. pure blood thing is based on racism, it seemed rude to me that ron would talk like that.

He may only say it like that, since the dursleys are the only muggles he has ever had contact with, it does not set a great impression on him.

Ron has no prejudice against Muggles, he just finds them odd, like all wizards(except Muggle-borns)do. He doesn't really understand them. And he doesn't like the Dursleys(who wouldn't?)mainly because they mistreat Harry. And he's got feelings for Hermione, who is Muggle-born. If you've read the books thoroughly, you'll find that Ron seems to find some Muggle things, like electronic spy gadgets(book 3) interesting.

Yeah, I don't think he meant to lump the Dursleys together with all other muggles that way. I think that's simply a way that he knows of to refer to them. That's all I got out of it.

Yeah i think Ron just finds Muggles weird and that he only knows the Dursleys who are Muggles and who can like the Dursleys.

Well, Ron being a pure-blood doesn't know very many Muggles. He only heard of them from Harry and Harry obviously loaths the ones he tells his best mate about.
So Ron possibly thinks that Muggles don't like the wizarding folk and therefor loaths them just as much.

I don't see Ron as a racist towards muggle's at all, as other people have said he doesn't know them and the only ones he does know are the Dursley's.

So what is he suposed to ask?
"How was it with the non-magic folk?"
Or
"How was it with the non-magic family?"

Muggles isnt pregudice or racist in aynway
