I refer of course to the books written by Anne Rice. My favorite series in the whole entire universe and that is a lot coming from someone who has her head buried in a book 24/7 and who owns so many books that she has 6 book cases that reach the ceiling and are full.

so, I am curious. If anyone else likes the Vampire Chronicles: Who is your favorite character?
mine used to be Lestat, but then i fell in love with the way Marius talks as well as Armand's lonely disposition. I suppose my favorite would be a combination of all three: Lestat for his looks, Marius for his voice, and Armand for his mind. Of course if i had to pick just one, i'd have to go with Marius.

Bringing back this thread for a moment...

THE MOVIES ARE AWFUL!!!!!

The books are wonderful. The movies distort the characters and shape them so that they would be desirable to the movie-going public. The books are awesome, though. My favorite characters are Lestat, Nicolas, and Armand.

wow loved the vampire chronicles! read them all last year. i always love when you know the character is essentially bad, but you love them anyway, its fantastic.

yeah i agree the movies in comparison with the books are terrible but as pieces of film standing on their own, they are pretty well made movies in comparison to some of the other vampire films out there

i adore lestat, his arrogance is wonderful, armand has such an intracit (sp) mind ... so i would say i sorta empathise with armand more than lestat.

I've read both Interview & The Vampire Lestat twice, and now I'm reading Queen of the Damned. I love the characters and plot so much, it just moves a bit slowly for me.

My favorite character is, well, Lestat. Wish I could be more creative than that, as he's been the focus thus far. But he's got such a strong personality and his bratty, passionate attitude is addictive!

Does anyone else think these books are a little... just a LITTLE... erotic?
