Ugh, you should not be allowed to listen to Classic Rock if you've got those bands on there! Otherwise, your selection was quite nice (I could most certainly put them on my list), but I'll just add a few to yours:
Rush
Faster Pussycat
Judas Priest (that's more Classis Metal, but whatever)
The Beatles
Black Sabbath
Cheap Trick (they're more Classic Pop/Rock)
Iron Maiden
Journey
Motley Crue
Quiet Riot
REO Speedwagon
Roger Waters (by himself)
Sex Pistols
Steppenwolf
Twisted Sister
White Snake
(I could add SO much more, but these were at the top of my head.) _________________

Long live classic rock!! It's my favorite type of music. Like, 60's, 70's, 80's rock/metal. I also like some country, not real twangy stuff, but good stuff, like, Toby Keith, and Charlie Daniels. I also think Jimmy Buffett rocks, although his genre is kinda undefined. I LOVE MUSIC!! Bands today are........not so good(no offense to those who like popular music today, this is just my opinion), to find the great, really great music, you gotta listen to the classic rockers!
Here's a list of my faves:
AC/DC
BLACK SABBATH
AEROSMITH
JIMI HENDRIX
RUSH
TED NUGENT
LYNYRD SKYNYRD
LED ZEPPELIN
ERIC CLAPTON
CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL(can't believe no one put these guys)
EAGLES
GUNS N ROSES
JIMMY BUFFETT
TOBY KEITH
CHARLIE DANIELS
BOB MARLEY
THE BEATLES
ROLLING STONES
THE DOORS
METALLICA
Well.....I know that a few of these artists aren't really rock, but they rock all the same. Still even more great bands that I didn't add here cuz if I did......it'd go on forever.
Peace, my fellow rockers and......LONG LIVE ROCK N ROLL!!!
P.S. Anyone heard Kid Rock's Rock n roll Jesus album? I have it and think it's awesome. _________________

I only like All Summer Long, the rest of it is pretty crappy in my opinion. Great list of bands though. _________________

My aunt's boyfriend was looking through my iTunes and goes, "What are you 50?" That made me mad because if it wasn't for Zeppelin, The Who, or any of those bands the bands we listen to nowadays wouldn't be here. The old bands started it all and they deserve all the credit. _________________

there were plenty of bands before the who and zepplin. i think really all of this falls back onto jazz and the real birth of rock and roll _________________ how tough am i? well, i'll have you know i stubbed my toe last week (while watering my spice garden), and i only cried for 20 minutes!

Yes but the type of music The Who produced was new and exciting rather than the rock of Elvis and The Kingsmen that was kind of mediocre because it all sounded the same. The Who, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, etc. gave the music industry a new sound in the 60's and 70's and that's what motivated bands like Styx, Led Zeppelin, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, AC/DC, Aerosmith, etc. to make the great music they did make. I mean sure you can give credit to Elvis and all the rock in the 50's, but as for starting a revolution, not so much. _________________

without all those bands in the 50's, how would any of the music have even begun to evolve in the 60's and 70's? sure, the sounds of the 50's might sound tame to you, just like a lot of the 80's stuff, but at the time it was new, different, and very progressive. _________________ how tough am i? well, i'll have you know i stubbed my toe last week (while watering my spice garden), and i only cried for 20 minutes!

Again you can give credit where needed but music didn't start making a difference until the 60's. Part of it was to rebel to the Korean and Vietnam War. I mean I agree with you that the bands from the 60's got their motivation from the rock of the 50's and such, but the rock in the 60's was more rebellious and harder and it started a music revolution. _________________

I like most music, except country and pop, but classic rock is definitely my favorite genre. Led Zeppelin is my favorite band, followed by Pink Floyd and The Beatles. _________________

Yeah, I like classic rock best, but also some metal from the 70s, and 80s. i like some country, oh, i forgot to put Johnny cash, he could be sorta rock. toby keith isn't real twangy, he got some good patriotic country songs. _________________

Some of their stuff is ok... but are they really "classic rock?" I dunno. But yeah, I think some of their stuff is good. _________________

I think Classic Rock is pretty much better than Modern Rock. But I would also have to say that Modern Rock and Roll is also pretty good too, there are just different songs that mess it all up. But I would have to say that they are both pretty well organized and done.
