I'm just saying that you shouldn't go by what polls say. I also think it's stupid for people to say who won or didn't win a debate. There is no winning or losing until the election in finished and a new President/Vice-President is elected. I'm not saying that either Biden or Palin won or lost. I'm saying that we won't actually know until next month.

Again you're confusing the "election" with the "debate".

No one is suggesting that because Obama performed well in a particular debate that he's going to win the election.

They're saying that in this particular debate Obama outshined McCain in all quarters - content, policy, delivery. Thus winning the debate.

It's not just polls that are saying this, though...
It is possible to win debates, I mean, haven't you ever debated in school? I think that might be where the confusion is... polls aside, professionals are saying who they think won or lost the debate. Of course, the truest contest will be election day.

I think we'll just have to agree to disagree.
