why did she do a single? did she just want to try or did...the dude...can't think of his name...leave her?
*prances off to youtube*
I really like the two songs I've listened to...but I feel like they may as well have been Dresden Doll songs, same with the vids _________________

I believe she just wanted to do a solo thing for a while.
As far as I know, they're still together.
one of my favorite songs on it is "Guitar hero"
it's actually a bit different from the Dresden Dolls stuff.
More than pianos and drums.

I guess it is a bit] different...but not a lot. I've just never understood why people in groups want to go solo _________________

or maybe they wanted to write a new album and the other member(s) didn't feel like it.
or they just wanna try something new.
OR they have stuff they work on separately on the side and feel like releasing it.
OR they group they're in is on hiatus (break) _________________

Oh, hey! I totally bought that album this weekend!
It's absolutely amazing, though I'd say it's a lot more melancholy than the work she's done in the Dresden Dolls. My favorite tracks are "Oasis" and "Astronaut". That woman is a GENIUS, I tell you. I'm a big fan of the Dresden Dolls, and I was dying for this album to come out!
As far as speculation about the band with Brian, she recently posted something on Myspace explaining what's going on there. Apparently things are getting trying with trying to make music together, but they DID just release an album this summer. I just think they need a breather, I don't believe they're absolutely done with the Dresden Dolls.
And I appreciate her solo work just as much as the Dolls. To me, Amanda was the main spirit of the band to me. That isn't to say Brian meant nothing, but... it's mostly Amanda that makes that band, to me. |

Well to me they both make the band.
He's super awesome on drums and back up vox.
rate the album 1-10, 10 being the highest _________________
